I really miss when ND focused on gameplay over story. Not putting down the Uncharted series or TLOU since those games are great but the greatest part about them is the cutscenes/story bits. The Jak and Crash series had minimal story development but the gameplay was phenomenal and they're a joy to play years later. I wish ND would go back to something fun to play instead of fun to watch.
Linear - agreed on this it seemed more on rails than other Zelda games.
Exploration - I don't really feel like there's too much exploration in most Console Zelda games. Take OOT for example, there really wasn't much to explore except an empty feeling Hyrule Field.
Side Quests - Agreed that they missed out on some prime side quest opportunities in Skyloft.
Repetitive - Feels much less repetitive than any other Zelda game tbh. Maybe...
if this is true please let it be a better port than Jak & Daxter and R&C: Full Frontal Assault.
no handsome jack? :(
I don't own an xb1 or a powerful enough PC to play this game and I can already see that this review is just.. bad. I don't know very much about the game but the review just felt very poorly written.
This was my first inFAMOUS game and I can say I really enjoyed it despite a couple complaints. The first complaint I have is how short it felt. If you wanted to just go through the story in 3-5 hours you probably could. Completing everything took me about 10. That said, it does deserve two playthroughs and I was playing on normal. Secondly, after receiving the other two powers, smoke felt really useless and underpowered. Those are smallish complaints and I'd still give the game a 9/10 bec...
damn dude Birth by Sleep was one of my personal favorite PSP games up there with Crisis Core. They could do wonders with a Kingdom Hearts on the Vita.
Not gonna get my hopes up for Pokemon Wii U, but I would totally love a Pokemon Wii U.
lol it being 30fps doesn't really hinder the experience. Some of the best games last year were 30fps (bioshock infinite, TLOU). People care too much about frames per second and resolution. Look at DK tropical freeze. It's getting shit on this site for being 720p. 1080p 60fps is a plus, and it makes the game look beautiful but it doesn't automatically make it good with it or bad without it.
... what? Just because you don't want to sit through hours of switching the wind to sail to reach your destination makes you ADD? Cutting common animations in half isn't an improvement? It doesn't make you ADD to not want to watch the same thing over and over and over again. How is an optional difficulty mode bad? Wind Waker is an easy game. It's an amazing game but it really doesn't provide too much challenge until the end. Hero mode makes it a bit more challenging for pe...
since graphics definitely make a good game right?
I hope they don't go mobile. The 3ds is selling extremely well so it wouldn't make much sense. I don't think selling old GBA games on mobile would be a bad idea though.
The game wasn't disappointing in the least bit, but it does have faults. The game isn't perfect despite what everyone seems to claim.
I admit my original comment wasn't very tactful, but either way TLOU fans aren't going to be able to take any sort of criticism. I've made constructive comments on different articles and gotten basically the same results.
this is what I'm saying. TLOU fans can't take criticism for the game! You just quickly accuse saying "you either didn't read the article or you didn't play the game" which both are untrue. I don't think the article is well written. I even said it was a fairly good game (only complaint is the gameplay). I just think the fans are completely awful and your comment is a great example.
I really hope Sony has some great games for Vita that haven't been announced yet. I would love to see a Kingdom Hearts title (maybe even port both the KH HD collections to VITA), a Bioshock game, and just some other big titles. I like how they're putting out tons of new IPs for the Vita but it needs some system sellers.
TLOU is a great game for the story and atmosphere. Naughty Dog perfected those two points in the game. Tugging with emotions like that would be very difficult to create and I commend them for that. That being said, it felt like gameplay was an afterthought. Even worse, the fanbase is awful. No one can have a negative opinion of the game. For example, Gamespot's GOTY video where they picked a Zelda game. TLOU fanbase acted like someone killed their puppy because it wasn't their favorit...
@xHeavYx I read the article and I agree with the point it makes about the gameplay being.. boring. I'm not saying the article was great. I'm saying that you can't have a negative opinion about TLOU without being threatened by an angry mob.
uh oh you said TLOU was overrated here come the comments. No one can have any criticism about the "greatest game ever"!
Latest offerings meaning realism? Yes. Many more PS4 and Xb1 games look better graphically if you're aiming at realism. Infamous Second Son is incredibly impressive and is getting tons of recognition right now. In 5 years, however, no one is going to mention it when speaking of state of the art graphics. Original graphics hold up a lot better over time. Wind Waker wasn't graphically impressive in the way of realism but it looked gorgeous because of its unique artstyle. It's one of...
