Agh I wanted to wait for this to come out on PS+ because my video game funds are running short but this game looks too promising to pass up.

I like a wide variety of games and this year those ones were simply my favorite ones of this year. If Bioshock had better gameplay (same as TLOU. great story, boring gameplay) it'd be up there too.
Game of the year is suggestive. Different people love different kind of games. I personally found this game much more enjoyable than TLOU. The story is definitely better in TLOU but gameplay wise I felt bored a lot of the time. So many people will probably jump on this and hate me because I personally didn't enjoy The Last of Us all that much but everytime I see any "may be the best video game of this year" article people will bombard it with "THE LAST OF US IS SO MUCH BETT...
Still my favorite Mario game to date. Mario 3d World does it justice though :D the later stages for sure.
there's no such thing as a perfect game but I will agree that it is a fantastic game.
the first three hours are teaching people who might have never played a Mario game.. Of course the first three hours are easy. If you only died twice in the last three worlds; well then you're much better than I am.
I really hope it does but it's pretty much depending on 3d World to do that for it. I'm glad they didn't rush Donkey Kong out but it probably would have helped a good bit.

Go play Super Mario Sunshine, then Galaxy, then 3d World and tell me they all play the same. & Mario games have their more difficult parts. 3d World's final level took me awhile to beat.
I actually completed the game (got everything in it). The game adds a lot of things while keeping the basic formula. The gameplay is mostly unchanged but the levels are vastly different and Nintendo based a lot of them around having the cat suit. There is a lot more exploration required in 3d world to find all 3 green stars and the stamp. They added in mystery house levels (present in 3d land but vastly upgraded) and captain toad levels (which are extremely fun). They also added multiplayer, ...
Really? Killzone, BF4, and AC4 are some great games. That said, I did enjoy Super Mario 3d World more than any of those games. That's not saying they're not worth playing though.

I enjoyed AC3 and I don't think Connor was a bad protagonist. Compared to Edward, Ezio, and Altair, however, he's the worst.
