No, it can't track 3D without the Move controller.
Edit:
Oh come on people you really think they are the same? Just look at the prices of both of them, geez.
WOW 443,000 for 360, thats HUGE for July.
Wii is not even close let alone PS3
Gap continues to grow...
Kinect will sell well to the casuals, due to it being something new and good value for two people, plus the huge ad campaign.
Move will fail to sell to the casuals due to it being too similar to Wii and $400 and lack of ads. Also with the lack of exclusive Move games also hurts its chances with the hardcore since who would spend $100 on a controller when they can play the game with the controller they already have.
Indeed what a lie that was.
But what is strange is its not called Bioshock 3, so maybe they see it as a new IP.
Why would you want to buy a case for it LOL.
Im surprised MS hasn't decided to release its own accessories for Kinect.
@JOLLY1
Sorry that wasn't directed at you personally, just in general.
But since you said you are buying all of them I guess it is directed at you lol.
It really baffles me why Sony believes that a Wii owner or any casual would spend $400 on something they can get for $199.
They should just save their marketing budget for GT5 at least that shouldn't flop, cause its going to be very embarrassing for them when no one but the dire hard PS3 fans buy it.
Its all up to devs to make something special with Kinect, but like kevco33 said it will take time for them to get use to it.
The good thing about MS releasing Kinect now rather than next gen is that when the next gen does start (and every console has the more advanced Kinect bundled in), devs will be able to easily implement Kinect features to all their games cause they will be so used to it by then.
4ml, damn thats crazy.
Theres no doubt it will be a hit, its got far too much support from retailers and the mainstream media.
Not surprising. If there is ever a PC version involved the 360 version is always the superior version, since the 360 is so similar to the PC.
Why would they click on a Move article when they have absolutely no interest in it?
They all say they are getting it day 1 but you can tell its all a front to make it look like no on wants Kinect, and yet which motion control articles interest them the most.......I'll give you a clue, starts with 'K' and ends with 'inect'.
Well they both thought the tech was good, but was quite obvious one liked it better than the other.
Gonna get to try it out myself on saturday since there is finally a demo station in london.
Personally I would rather have minority report navigation, this just seems uncool and long winded.
Reach is going to be a beast and I still haven't seen any ads yet.
Wonder why so many people are preordering Kinect Adventures when it comes with the sensor? Since apparently vgc doesn't count Kinect Adventures as actual Kinect preorders.
LOL a that "Wow"
This is likely a problem using a 50GB bluray, and without an install its not surprising. But with all this development time I would have thought they would've spend some time optimising loading.
@kartik21
"You are scared of GT5 thats why you are approving this, negative news is always good for a fanboy."
Just like the sony fanboys and Kinect articles right? ;)
Well that means its already better than last years.
Maybe they will tell us about this years system update, probably gonna be released soon.
Seems strange for retailers to be cutting prices so frequently for a product that hasn't even released yet.
You would think they would want to gauge demand after release then cut prices if it wasn't popular, unless they already know what the demand is like already based on preorders.
@jack_burt0n
But the Wii doesn't cost £249 and it doesn't require a PSEye to work, so I think they will need to cut it a bit further.
That's MS's plan, they know how to hype things and there's no such thing as bad publicity. Come November if you don't know what Kinect is you would have been living under a rock.
Come launch everything will be worked out and all the haters will be wishing they preordered when it ends up selling out.
@Shadow Flare
Well I'm sure it helped 360S sales
I would say its a lot more than that. Sony is the only one losing marketshare this gen while MS and Nintendo are gaining it. Theres probably a lot of PS2 defects on the Wii side too, at least from the casual PS2 owners.
Sony will have a hard time reaching 100ml with the PS3, let alone 140ml like the PS2.
Somehow I think there will be more coming. This happened with Halo 3 and after about a few months you could get legendary edition at a cut price.
But still loads of people sold them on eBay for crazy money.
PSP is dead seriously, not even 100K. And PS3 demand is shrinking now that the slim effect is gone.

As for the 360 just imagine Aug when the $199 releases. Then Sept with Reach and the bundle.
The gap will likely grow to 7ml by year end with Kinect coming.
@cescgooner88
Will be big but not a huge system seller since there are over 4ml GT PS3 owners already from GT5P. I will sell 500K units max in EU and thats not a lot.
