I don't think comparing Move vs. Kinect sales really proves anything. I'm not a huge fan of playing the sales card, but what's important (kind of) is how many consoles each move.
So come back in a year and lets compare that data.
Until then Patcher will continue to make his worthless opinions about things that don't matter.
I really don't think that MS will release another traditional console. All of their moves recently have been moving away from how Nintendo and Sony run their gaming divisions.
MS will continue update and support Kinect and release better versions of Kinect, but the Xbox is done. And for shareholders, if Kinect is where the money is at, this is the direction they want to go in.
I don't think you understand what I'm saying.
Research on pitching mechanics is already being done in biomechanic labs. They already have equipment and software to do this. In my lab, we have 10 high powered stationary cameras set in the room were we have test subjects.
So yes, increasing the power of Kinect is not enough. What is more accurate, a view captured by 10 cameras or 1?
And I really think you don't understand the time ...
I think its funny that you think you know what you are talking about.
It's not just the software. You need to be able to capture the event at high frame rates to be able to break down a baseball throw into many parts. It's also the accuracy which needs to be as close to perfect as possible. The software will just calculate the torque, angles, stress, etc - but its based on capturing an accurate picture.
If you want to know the truth, the Move more c...
There are biomechanic labs and studies being done (some about baseball) in colleges and universities all over the world. Kinect (not to bash it) is no where near advanced enough to do what some of the equipment in my lab does. There is a reason why the equipment is so expensive.
It's a nice thought for someone not involved in the field, but that's where it ends, as a thought. Neither move nor wii would be useful either.
Gaming journalism is really at it's best today.
WoW. What a lame attempt as gaming journalism. It's articles like these that make you all the laughing stoke of the field. Quit. Just quit.
Until we see gameplay, I will remain reserved. We have seen no other way for these hardcore games to be played besides on rails.
Unless they use a controller, I don't see how you can play these Hardcore games differently than on rails.
I love it when a troll calls out another troll. But it does always leave me confused about their intelligence
It's a shame G4 got dropped by DirectTV, but I'm not going to miss Xplay or their reviewers.
This is no way a bad game. But it really is MW x WaW part 2. Same engine with numerous glitches. During the single player, AI's were floating in air! The AI are worthless even more when on the ground.
The MP is just more of the same. Good but nothing new or amazing.
7.5/10 rounded up to an 8.
And Abbie is the worst revi...
I think maybe its the rate at which they pump out these games. MW2 was a broken, flawed game that I couldn't play without getting frustrated. So BO comes out with a fixed version of pretty much the same multiplier + little odds and ends.
I still have fun playing MW and don't think that their are enough major changes to warrant gamers excepting a new COD game just because it is out. I feel like a new COD that deserves a 10/10 can't just be a pretty version of the s...
My quoted words were in the review, Michael changed the end of the review to more clarify his opinion.
But that was my opinion of the review when I first read it, not after it was edited.
I still think reviews biased towards the "in" game.
The COD games have saturated the market the past 5 years, with IMO the only major improvements/changes coming with MW. I don't think MW2 deserved 9s and 10s, and since BO uses the same engine by a less talented dev team (until they prove me otherwise), I really can't see this game deserving the "almost perfect" scores.
I don't doubt this game is good, maybe great, but it is st...
I don't doubt that MS put a lot of research into kinect and how it works (or did they just buy the research?)
But to deny that Sony put less effort is laughable.
I don't think kinect is eyetoy 2, nor do I think that Move is Wii2. But it's amusing to see you say Move is an upgraded wii but get so flustered when the other argument is brought up.
What you know about the make up of both systems sounds like regurgitated N4G articles...
For giggles, I looked up sales (vgcharts) and its almost had 300k lifetime sales. Thats pretty crazy.
Comparing it to Enslaved - NB almost had the same success at the four week mark
Do high profile games get inflated reviews?
The last sentence of the review: "Overall I feel Black Ops has beaten MW2 in its Campaign and Multiplayer (certainly the meat of the game) - but is let down by slightly inferior graphics and a co-op mode which offers only 3 maps and less variety in my opinion."
So it's a great game but has its let downs. So on to the score.
And it gets a 9.6/10. 9.6/10 is about as close to perfect as ...
What has MS SOLD of shipped numbers? How can you belittle a company for doing the same thing that "your" company does?
Don't bring the move = wii part 2 argument up unless you want kinect = eyepet part 2.
If you have played the systems and games and have legit points to make, feel free to express you opinion and be ready to debate. But right now you are just sprouting dribble.
Doubtful either of them will be forgotten soon.
Though I do think Sony could do better with marketing the move. The TV advertisements are saturated with Kinect right now.
Why wait for a review? If you like the COD series, I bet you get this game.
If you think they are milking the series/Treyarch is nothing of IW/etc, then you wont get it.
Let's face is, fighting games (like most sport games) don't work with motion controls.
Motion controls try to make the games feel "life like" but the problem is most users can't fight in feel life anyway.
The perfect fighting game with 1:1, all moves available, etc wont be fun because the uses can't do it. A fighter could, but he would be in a ring rather than playing video games.
Keep motion sports games where they...
