For that small of a thing, it doesn't make sense for a dev to figure out how to work a new device (kinect) and add small minigames when it probably wouldn't add to sales at all.
The new family kinect crowd wont buy this game. And the older plays that buy this game will buy it with or without kinect.
Did anyone really think Kinect was actually going to be used in this game?
I'm really looking forward to seeing what ND can do with the MP. UC2's MP was fun, but definitely lacking in someways to the "premier" shooter MPs.
The thing is that to the public, as in all of us nerds, the only thing that has changed from GeoW3 being at the VGAs to not being there is the UC3 trailer.
We can't see the behind the seen stuff, so this (UC3 being announced = GeOW3 not showing) is one of the few conclusions we can make. Whether it's right or wrong, none of us will ever know.
I don't think MS has anything to announce. Besides 343, Turn 10, and Lionhead, all of their other studies are developing for Kinect.
Unless a new 3rd party study has decided on working exclusively with MS (which is unlikely in this day and age), a new kinect game is the only probable thing that could be announced.
Well, I guess they could announce time-exclusive DLC for 3rd party games.
I think its more that he isn't foaming at the mouth anytime someone mentions MS nor is he willing to completely disregard problems associated with Sony and their games.

They wouldn't waste any Japanese devs game at the VGAs.
I doubt the new Halo study has anything to show yet.
And all the rest of their studios are working on shovelware for kinect.
Not saying MS wont have anything in the future, but this just doesn't seem like a venue for their new IPs or sequals.
I doubt their investors will be willing to take a hit if they are in the green now.
It's all about the dough bro.
Edit: It's the same reason why the PS3 has not dropped price. People are still buying them like hotcakes, why lose profit and drop the price?

How can all of the kinect "hardcore" games look good if we've only seen one trailer for each and zero gameplay for all of them.
We've yet to see if the developers can make these games into anything but shovelware or even vaporware.

Trailers are cool. But where's the gameplay? Hard to tell if a game is good unless we know how it's played.

There have been more than one trailer for TLG and gameplay is in the trailers.
Kingdoms is on the same level as Agent in my opinion. Who knows when they will come out and what are they about?
