There will be a PS5 and X2 (or whatever the name will be) for 1 simple reason, too many people dont have the infrastructure for digital only streaming games. For instance, at my main home I have no data cap and very fast internet. On the other hand I have 2 vacation homes and neither one has great internet services and both have data caps in their area. Until (speaking about the USA) the internet is upgraded in rural areas both MS and Sony would miss out on market-share by limiting their syst...

I can tell you that I see the difference between 30fps and 60fps A LOT more than 900p vs. 1080p. I play multiplats on PC because I want 1440-2160, the difference between those resolutions and 1080p is much higher than 1080p vs. 900p. All you guys care about is resolution bragging rights when they come come time and time again at the expense of FPS. I'm a gamer, therefore I want my games to play as smoothly as possible first, eye candy 2nd. Hell the PS4 cant even get a racing game to do 60...

I remember being 20 years old and taking out a $1700 loan for my first C64, then came the Amiga 500 (which I also preferred) and my ST. After that I got into PC gaming, but I never had so much fun as with the Amiga, ST and 64.
Anyone who believes the 360 sold as much as it does BECAUSE of RRoD is blind. It helped Sony in sales as its reputation took a huge hit as being unreliable hardware.i didn't cause an increase in sales, it drove sales to their competitors.
I have no desire for major studios to Kickstart their games. I hope this isn't becoming the normal way of thinking. I'm glad to help fund the little guys, but not major studios.
As compared to, well... nothing. Now tell me about your amazing 44 exclusives coming this holiday. Even Sony apologized for its Christmas lineup, accept it, deal with it, move on. A bunch of old indie games and games that are coming to PS3 or PC dont really come close to equaling what X1 has in store the next 18 months.
Oh and all those great multiplats that Sony paid to market, well we have all of those too. You got nothing.
Neither one of them are, neither can hit 1080p/60 regularly and both are underpowered.
I loved my ST, that takes me back. Great system that sat alongside my Amiga 500.
Honestly, the only people I see on this site downgrading Halo 5 are the Sony fanboys who have no intention of buying it anyway. Saying fans are upset over no split scree, yeah right. I will agree to that. I am unimpressed to this point with consoles this generation to date. I could be happy with just my PC and a 3ds at this point. Console exclusives have been a bust to me this generation.
Edit: I meant to say while each console has 1 or 2 good evlusives, it isn't worth the price of buying one if you have a good gaming PC.

Because installing DX is hard? Hell every time i put a game into a console anymore or just turn it on it needs to update.
I will be happy with PC games coming this holiday and X1 exclusives. Still nothing that makes me want to re-buy PS4. Bloodbourne looks great but 1 game doesn't make it worth the $400 price tag. While it does have some other decent games, I will hold off until UC4 hits.

Seriously? J-Stars? Planetside 2? I got bored with PS2 well over a year ago when all the microtransactions just got stupid. I would hardly consider those AAA.
Persona games don't sell huge numbers. Like many that are looking forward to it I will play it on my PS3. They aren't graphics intensive games so I doubt there is little difference.
