Because Nintendo realized they could pull in big sales numbers while having the weakest hardware so they're attempting it again...For that profit.. They also recycle their game franchises a lot and don't spend much $ taking risks on new ips because a ton of people keep buying them so they'll keep recycling. Same thing Microsoft does in a different way.. They play let's see how little games we can give them and let's charge for multiplayer while we're at it...and people...
@Gumtrol it's always nice having a Sony console for their 1st party exclusives and for the console games that don't make it to pc like Red Dead Redemption . I've mainly been a console gamer myself but Pcs are best for multiplats 1. You'll never have to worry about backwards compatibility 2. You can mod games to extend them/ make them look better,.. Change things you can't on a locked down console 3. Games can be found cheaper and it's cheaper overall to do pc gaming 4....
Way to ruin the immersion.
The only thing I'd want changed is they could add a lip on the end of the triggers or rubberized grip for traction and they could also make an alternative layout where the left stick is in place of the d pad, because imo that layout is suited best for fps and driving games, it just adds better precision.. It'd grab the attention of the 360 only gamers too.
Illumiroom aka The seizure room because that's what it looks like it'll be causing a lot of.
Right there with you Logic, I got ps3 and 360 both close to launch and won't be doing the same.. Because 1. Possible faulty hardware 2. the cost 3. lack of games.. Might as well wait for the slims. Should have done that this gen.. I ended up picking up a ps3 slim 2 years ago, with a controller and all for 150$ at a pawn shop. < now that was a deal and it's currently my only working system.
Gears has always stuck to the same safe formula, each sequel improving upon gameplay just slightly, while not bad it's a little generic..I'd like to see the Gears devs step out the box a bit, get some variety.. throw in some air combat, more vehicle combat, allow you to use things in the environment to your advantage, give an option for stealth/ playing tactical... You know? That's war...Gears needs to capitalize on the War in its name more imo.
@_-EDMIX-_ adding to what you said, the ps3 also doubles as a blu ray player and it has no subscription fee to access apps such as Netflix < that right there will definitely guarantee the ps3 surpasses xbox 360 by a landslide... As more people look for streamers/ blu ray players they'll surely look at the ps3 and see the value..an affordable all in one device over similarly priced standard blu ray players and standard game boxes? Hmm I think the ps3 gots a lot of sellin left in it.
It happens man...ps3 just had a big banwave for those who are on cfw and played pirated copies of black ops 2 on psn. It's still going on..
Gears of war, halo, fable, Alan Wake, crackdown, they're all on pc..The only exclusive AAA franchise that Microsoft didn't put on pc is Forza And pc's are always more powerful than consoles...chu smoking on?
"Being connected to the internet and using gold are two different things." No not to Microsoft, if so then explain why you must pay your Internet service provider a monthly fee then on top of that pay to play multilayer.
Skyrim, Oblivion, Fallout 3/New Vegas...were some of the greatest games this gen (on pc and 360) yeah the PS versions did get shafted a bit unfortunately. But how can they not be one of your favorite devs? They just put so much content into their games, build some of the biggest atmospheric world's, in depth gameplay you can play these games many different ways, tons of customization they feel like your own game and with mods it goes even further, their games are always worth the 60 dolla...
I kind of look at Microsoft as the new Sega..I mean Microsoft did help with the dreamcast it was ran by drirectx and Windows ce. Also some of the dreamcast team came over to Microsoft and helped design the xbox360 and market it, hence the similar look and swirl logo. It's like Sega passed their torch to them.
Funny thing is, Microsoft is one of the richest companies in the world, they can definitely afford to take risks making new AAA ips, buying up quality studios, taking a loss on their console selling power for cheap to get on people's good side, free online gaming like everyone else. Yet they do the opposite...
It's a game based off the lure of a movie, you can't really expect it to be good. So far that I can remember only the batman games were able to pull that off well. But yeah that demo definitely showed a different product, that's the problem..
Because that's all Microsoft has.. Where as Sony has games for every genre.
Square Enix was never that great of a dev team to begin with, what your all thinking of is SQUARESOFT. Most of the devs from soft have left...Enix is its shell.
Great design, my fingers slip off the current sticks from time to time, glad to see the concave impressions. Also the touch pad for easier typing+. The move sensor to use as an option for steering or aiming+. Slightly bigger for added comfort+. Sony got this.
With an 8gb patch they could change the game in its entirety...instead of it playing the files from the disc, the disc can act as a place holder to activate the vastly improved game. (the patch)
Runner 2? I've never even heard of the first one.. What's this an indie game? Edit: yeah it is, just checked it out and it looks friggin good...not a graphically intensive game though, any differences I'm sure would be hard to find.
