Make sure you sign in to psn before 8 am Monday and keep it on all day if you want to play multiplayer. It'll be down from 8-8.. it won't let you access apps but if you make the cut off time you'll still be able to play multiplayer...seriously it doesn't matter what service you use, they all go down every now and then...psn more so but then again it's free. I'd rather have free decent service than over priced slightly more reliable service.
but it didn't fail at all
@Nyromith the cfw scene recently got backwards compatibility to work with "non backwards compatible consoles", almost all games...Google it yourself, PS2 classics manager. That is something Sony should have offered for free...A way to to rip your old games and convert into PS2 classic format but no they charge you for your game again. Sony could easily come up with something similar for PS4 to play PS3 games. There's no such thing as non backwards compatible in this day in age w...
Pssssssh how can one simply say a game is the greatest of all time.. there is more then one genre so you could say greatest rpg, action adventure, fps, platformer, etc. and even so it's all opinion.
Nostalgic and badass= PS1, smooth and classy= PS3, PS2 was just alright.. but I'd say the Dreamcast had the greatest boot of all consoles, it was orgasmic and natural.
I'd say it's very likely your fan connector came loose, that's what happens, if it powers up then shuts down like that it's preventing it from frying...could of saved yourself some money and time man. Just open it up and plug it back in.
Hype is hype, a ton of gamers are talking about it right? So it's staying fresh in gamers minds and that's what they want. The fact is, Microsoft won't require always online to run games...after all the criticism and backlash they received from rrod you think they'd do something like this? Cmon now. They'd be losing sales also...and you know they're all about sales first and foremost.
To Microsoft it may..I just did the math and with 40 million paying for live they make about 1.5+ billion dollars a year off of it, yikes.....Where does that money go..early dlc? It's not like we see a bunch of exclusives or any deals on xbox live. I hope customers refuse to pay for it next gen if they decide to charge without making it competitive/ comparable to ps+.
@mt that's the reason I got into the series also...but if they did give it an easier option it's not like it would effect us, we'd still play it on the default difficulty while others who maybe held off on the game because of difficulty would now be more inclined to pick it up...Just thinking about all gamers and the benefits it may bring the dev.
There's no way the next xbox will have to be always connected to play games...you know how stupid that sounds? No where in the documents did it say that. Plus what about the troops and other people located in areas with spotty or no Internet... On the subscription thing though , if ms still continues to charge for multiplayer theyre going to get outsold quick.
I just want a new Midnight Club...that was imo the only great racing game this gen..after I played it I couldn't play any others. Rock Star just did everything right, deep customization, good selection of cars, challenging races, detailed open world, great first person view, no load times, nice handling/physics, sound, crashes..jumps..police chases. I don't expect this game to come close...will see though.
Do you think the game would sell even better if it had options for difficulty?
I'd say RAGE was underrated and hated on by many for some reason...The game is good though, it has everything.. Great enemy ai and physics, nice graphics and atmosphere and a mix between first person shooter action and driving/vehicle combat so it didn't get stale. Vanquish was another awesome game that went under the radar, that game was a blast and had some of the best gameplay mechanics I've seen. Also Sleeping Dogs and Mafia 2 are thee best games in the open world crime genre ...
2 Skyrim and Fallout New Vegas. Those two because it's not so damn repetitive, theres many different ways to play them games and many things to do. They didn't feel like a chore.
Fiction
? All you need to hack a ps3 is a hardware flasher to downgrade it back to firmware 3.55 then you can install cfw 4.40...its simple stuff really. Thing is you have to have a ps3 manufactured in 2010 or earlier to be able to downgrade.. Once you do though you'll be able to play ps1, ps2, psp, and ps3 games off the hard drive, remote play on the vita will now work with the majority of ps3 games... play emulators, boot linux, ...even if your console isn't backwards compatible you can pla...
Ummm... what makes it any different than this gen? That has been happening with PS3, 360, and Wii for some time now...sometimes games leak a month or more before they're officially released.
Really...you don't say? Someone whos involved in the PS4 says they like the PS4. Didn't see that one coming.
Yyyyyyyyyyyyeeeeeeeerrrrrhhhhh . Souls, Fallout, Elder Scrolls and Borderlands... If not for these franchises I probably wouldn't have really gotten back into gaming after the ps2 era. The introduction of western rpgs on consoles have been the best thing that happened to gaming this gen. I can only imagine what they're going to be like on next gen hardware.
Yes, anything over 0$ for something that does the same thing as the other services and not much better is over priced in my opinion. I never bought gold the 6 years I've had a xbox. I don't play online enough for it to be worth it. When I do game online though it's ps3 because that 50-60$ is 1-3 extra games I could buy or saved for something else. I mainly use xbox for single player games, especially for Bethesda titles and other games which look and perform much better on it. Edi...
