You say you will base your review on ign and 1up but that's not much better than Gametrailers bias. 1up has Shoe still lurking around even though he was such 360 fanboy they told him to quit because it started to really look bad. And ign is really just a 360 site. Sure, they have some joke of a Playstation team now, but that's because it looked really stupid having part of the site funded as teamxbox and that same site (ign) claiming to deliver fair coverage of all platforms. My best advi...
I don't own a 360 so I don't check any site for results about any 360 games. My guess is people who check other systems games scores like that feel something is missing from thier lives and want to know if they should do something about it. They don't want to hear something might be better than what they have so they try to tear it down early and hope there's enough like-minded people who will join the crusade so they can have some type of mindless cult who will be there with them in saying...
Maybe Microsoft actually pays an employee to sit there during the day and submit things like this so they can in turn use the usual statement to the media that "our games get higher ratings at Metacritic" like they have done in the past?
Heavy Rain needs to be on any top of 2009 list.
So I'm going for a show stopper here and I guess MS will announce the exsistance of the next Xbox to be released later this year. By E3 they might even have games to show.
I would have checked it out.
What studio is making it? Microsoft doesn't have many studios left. Now the pipeline could turn out to be a 3rd party game that Microsoft pays for so to recieve timed exclusivity in 09, but outside of that possibility, I'm uncertain there are any fireworks.
If you can honestly find one PS3 owner that is "begging" to play these games you should try to find Jimmy Hoffa because you're good.
I run Folding at Home (Life with Playstation) more than 7 hours a week. They must have pulled this one out sideways. They are never going to crap right again :)
I guess what's left of it is.
It seems reviewers must feel obligated to praise Fallout 3 and Bioshock. I think Far Cry 2 was better than Fallout 3. And Dead Space was better than Bioshock in my opinion. But hey, why would you listen to me? Unlike all these journalists I have to buy my games and nobody pays me to play them.
Honestly I don't want to fool myself into thinking I have a great idea.
Being a sequel and published by Microsoft there is NO excuse for this to happen. Obviously the game was rushed to release.
Honestly this game looks a heck of a lot better than either of the exclusive games coming (Demon's Soul and Ninja Blade) from FROM SOFTWARE. I think it will be interesting to see Tecmo of all developers making a cover based 3rd person shooter. I just doubt it releases in 09 because when it was shown the developer said they were real early in development.
Maybe if you're lucky you might find a blog from somebody where they let something negative about Microsoft slip out, but even then it's pointless to care because if it is real juicy they will switch in a day or two and come back saying they didn't mean it. Microsoft is granted a free pass this generation. It's not like they don't have problems, but every owner is willing to ignore reliability concerns, fees for service, and countless add-ons for the betterment of public opinion. Just be g...
I thought Sony was outselling Microsoft in America for majority of the year until the Microsoft pricedrop at the end of the year?
Capcom develops for PC and 360. They developed Devil May Cry 4 for the PS3 and it ran smoother and looked better on PS3, but they haven't developed for PS3 since from my understanding.
Capcom and its developers have stated preferences for the 360 in the past but it has been a while since they have done so. They went along recently trying to pretend they are neutral in opinion and even went as far as opening shop on the PSN, but this story is not much different from the time they went on stage along side Microsoft and told developers and studios to make games multiplatform because they prefer to develop for the 360.
But there was also a time when people didn't lock doors at night :)
