From what I've seen so far, it's the usual AC gameplay with more people on screen. Even in the recently shown footage I've seen the same clipping issues that plagued previous games, my expectations for Unity are very low... especially after Watch Dogs.
It's a brilliant game, it has it's flaws but it's just fun and addicting to the point where I've played it for over 3 hours non-stop (cockpit cam + headphones <3).
After GT4, this has become my new favourite racing game when it comes to the core driving mechanics which are unmatched imo. I don't have any cars or tracks that I dislike, every race is fun and the graphics impress me even after more than 20 hours so yeah, I can't agree with most reviews at all. ...
It's kinda late to expect drastic changes through this job ad but I'm not concerned as well, I don't think I will be disappointed by the gameplay.
And it's actually a well-made, even innovative game. Watch the video in the article, I'd love to support this project, they sure have talent (and humour).

Seems like we shouldn't expect too much from this patch yet but it shouldn't be too long until everything's fixed... must be tough working at Evolution right now, not only are they working during the weekend but also over night as it seems :O
^As a PS+ member, you get a discount on the digital version... that's how I bought the game and it was worth it 😸
Judging by comments from Evolution, they never expected problems of this magnitude. I am still 99% convinced that the GAF-user who connected over 500 people with each other caused this "unusual social behavior" that brought the servers down. It just makes complete sense at the moment.
People criticized so many things that I can't reenact after about 15 hours of gameplay... I can agree with "lack of performance tuning", "only european cars" and "crappy online servers" but no matter how I look at it, I can't confirm "bland gameplay", "lack of content", "bad sound" or "bad AI". The actual driving is so satisfactory and addicting that I can easily overlook the handful of shortcomings.
Games like SO rarely were successful on Xbox platforms, it's just a sad truth even though the game looks very good.
You're pretty good at implying nonsense, you should become a psychologist or fortune teller. I don't think that the parity clause made any Xbox owner feel "first class" when game developers announced a PS4 version without even mentioning the Xbox One - that's the only reason why that statement made me laugh.
Haha I'm the fanboy for suggesting to abandon a stupid clause and giving you access to games like:
WiLD
No Man's Sky
Hotline Miami 2
Secret Ponchos
ABZU
Broforce
Hellblade
Galak-Z
N++
and many others... because they will obviously launch on PS4 first? You're not a gamer, you my friend, are the die hard fanboy here who would defend Microsofts questionable practices to death.
Now that they don't have the upperhand anymore, rethinking the parity clause is a pretty good idea. His statement about "feeling first class" still makes me laugh.
The moment this was announced for 3DS I knew it would turn out like that. Smash is not a game you play alone and a handheld version probably only happened because the 3DS is so much more successful than the WiiU, especially in Japan. I didn't care for the 3DS version but I'm certainly getting the Wii U version, the way it's meant to be played :)
Same here, PSN works fine but PS+ is not recognized. It was said that 2.0 will drop "very soon" so I hope this is connected to it, can't wait for dynamic themes =)
The earlier this game releases, the more I think they copy&pasted most of the mechanics from Battlefield. I hope they take their time with it and respect the Battlefront franchise instead of just monetizing off the Star Wars license.
I can't put it down as well, for me it's the most enjoyable racing game of the last 5 years - by far. It's a combination of insane backdrops, perfect sense of speed, enjoyable handling and awesome track design that makes me play for hours. Just doing time trials with different cars is so much fun, it only needs some reliable servers now to get a 9.0/10 from me.
By your logic, no game is ever complete if the devs continue to work on updates or patches.
Also the actual driving is extremely fun and addicting, the last racing game that managed that for me was GT4. I and many people on GAF can assure you that the reviews below 8/10 are not doing the game justice, and you will realize that yourself once you play it - bookmark this post if you like. I don't know where all this hate is coming from but it's definately not justified, Driveclub...
How is there no substance? Have you played it? Please elaborate, otherwise you're trolling.
A 6.5/10 is simply not a fair score. The reviews might look different if it released a few weeks before Forza but in the end, it's still the reviewer who can't judge a game properly.
My enjoyment of a game doesn't depend on its metacritic score, as long as I'm having fun playing it reviews don't matter to me.
