I don't get either why people seem "upset" about this. It means nothing. I have not yet seen a CoD where being a higher level gives you an outstanding advantage. Which is what XP will do.

I think this is pretty smart, hopefully they will add more products to give this to those who won't drink Mountain Dew and think Doritos are way too unhealthy.

What unfair advantage are we talking about? XP?

I have yet to find being higher level in Call of Duty giving you an advantage. You don't get better weapons, you get different weapons, with a different purpose.

XP is just something to keep you playing towards more content, if people purchase a product third party to gain more, then who givesa crap.

Wrong. Origin has a server browser, in the current BETA you must exit the game to access a new server.

Did you see the map sizes compared to BF2? It's gonna be clusterfuck of doom.

Hopefully Jets can be manually turned off @ your own servers or it will be a nightmare.

No it doesn't.

Red Orchestra has a real simulation feel to it.

BF3 & MW3 comes no where NEAR Red Orchestra on that front and they aren't really trying either.

A simple browser is something that Battlefield 3 will not give you. The origin server browser is HORRID. Simply. See for yourself the 29th in Open Beta.

Believe it or not, many people would like to just click a button and get automatically matched with others, funny: All the new games in the ARTS genre (DotA2, LoL & HoN) have automated matchmaking.

I heard a tip on a danish board: If you haven't got a beta key yet, but pre-ordered or did the thing with MoH:LE, you can go into Steam, look under the MoH:LE CD-KEY and find your beta-key there to activate on Origin.

No it shouldn't. Cross-platform should be available simply because a larger community means better for everyone.

Perhaps, it can change the way consoles are played and thougth of. Perhaps, Controllers will finally get abandoned and Keyboard+Mouse will be packed with an Xbox/PS

I'm sorry but I wholeheartedly disagree with you.

I have played CoD since the second in the series and I have never been a fan of the 32+ player servers. Not one single Call of Duty map since the Modern Warfare franchise started has been created with the intention of hosting so many players.

When I first played Call of Duty 4, I remember deaths over and over again, simply because you never knew when five grenades would land around your feet. Together with...

You said that about Crysis 2 aswell. It was the worst garbage FPS I have ever played. You actually made a sequel worse than it's presucessor, how the hell do you fuck up that badly CryTek?

Console convertion killed a respected PC developer. No more purchases from CryFail.

CoD has a two year production cycle. RAGE had what, seven-eight years?

So you didn't read that DICE & Sony does the exact same thing so Xbox users won't receive content at the same time as PS3 users?

Disgusting idiot, read or GTFO.

5232d ago 1 agree16 disagreeView comment

The only thing DICE should be nervous about is Origin. Battlefield 3 looks very impressive so far and I am sure the beta will show the same picture, that it is a great game with very good graphics.

I think it's meant to be a Christmas Holiday feature. I think it suits the Minecraft theme and mods will make you remodel/retexture the thing if you find it too bad looking.

Why would you support games that are no longer developed?

It would be stupid as hell to continously support MW2 & Black Ops when MW3 comes out.

MW2 did need way more support, but it seems the IW-scandal kinda blew that out of the way.

WoW didn't go F2P. They initiated a "Up-to-20" pack which features about 1% of the game content. They still don't sell performance improvements for real cash in WoW, as with every Pay2Win(F2P) mmos.

5234d ago 1 agree4 disagreeView comment

MMO's that are Pay2Win(F2P) are all failures. You can argue all day long, but when you go F2P, you know your product wasn't worth a monthly fee.

That is why we can crown WoW as one of the only successfull MMOs, SW:TOR can also become a MMO of the future if it's supported well enough.

BF2: Huge maps with tanks, veichles, jets & great graphics for it's time.

BF3: Huge maps with tanks, veichles, jets & great graphics for it's time with rip-off features.

I don't understand why there has to be so incredibly many BF fanboys roaming around just spewing shit out. Are you honestly that mad that MW2 sold better than BF:BC2 and that MW3 will sell more than BF3 that you need to go apeshit and slaugther Call of Duty on each given o...

These "Top 10" lists - What are the criteria? Sales, Graphics, Innovation?

Personal opinion can't be held as a criteria as everyone likes different things, definite statistics however is a certain type of measurement but none is used in this "Top 10".

On the "Upcoming Games": I don't see Battlefield 3 or Modern Warfare 3. I don't see Diablo III either.

Perhaps extremepcgamer should set some criteria ...

You personally think Coke is better than Pepsi(So do I). But CoD is still the franchise-leader and the best seller, as is Coke.
