the REAL rating is how it sells and how much it's liked by gamers - 20 people giving a review each is hardly an indicator of game quality. if i listened to reviewers, i never would have played a lot of games i liked.
have you played it for a few hours to make your decision, or are you just hating because it's trendy?
do not listen to tekolie - he hasn't played the game. the melee gameplay in this game is the best i've ever seen - it beats dying light and i didn't think that was possible.
an "ok game" that i'm having more fun with than i did RDR2 or RE2 remake. i'll take that any day of the week.
no - days gone will sell well because it's a good game. the problem with gaming is people like you who get so mad over this stuff. it's games and you're losing your mind over nothing.
you haven't played days gone then - the freakers think - will smell the air to find you and a horde of any size will break off and try to surround you. zombies in RE2 are tame compared to days gone.
dump some skill points into focus - it helps with shooting.
i won't give any details - don't want to ruin the experience - wait till you start getting to the really cool skills - it's awesome!
you haven't played long enough. upgrade those skills and get access to the better bike parts and this game shines. melee is SO fun after getting the good skills for it and the hordes are like nothing i've ever seen.
agreed. focus- aim is badass. and VERY helpful with hordes!
oh man, pick it up. work on getting those melee skills (especially homerun, retribution, "switch it up" and executioner) and once you find sawblades, attach one to a bat, 2x4 or fencepost - great fun! the bike is fun too once you can start adding better parts.
edit- at sliverhawk below . i agree. RDR2 is a very good game, but i'm having MUCH MORE fun with days gone.
i'd give it a 8.7. the melee gameplay and skills to go with it make it incredible fun to chop freakers up. and i like the bike once access to the really high-end parts becomes available. (right now i'm working on getting the skills for shooting)
the thing that holds it back for me a little bit is how missions load when you reach each ones destination and the transition between game and cutscenes.
that's my one complaint too - but with all the fun i'm having, i can put up with it. so, do you prefer guns or melee (in non-horde situations)? the guns are fun, but the skills for melee make it the best melee freaker/zombie-killing ever. it tops dying lights melee, and i didn't think that was possible. my favorite weapon is the fencepost with a sawblade. after using it, i now know what i'll make if a real zombie-type outbreak occurs. LOL
it was already good - if you'd played if for a little while you'd know this.
i've played about 20 hours and i can say it's unwarranted. it's a great game and i'm having loads of fun playing it. other than some minor complaints about loading screens, they did a good job with this.
plays like it. i'm enjoying it as much as metro: exodus, RE2, and sekiro. - all good games that have come out this year.
re-read your post, kubark - it reads like rage to me.
he hasn't played it.
uh, the enemies in camps definitely do not "look the other way". and they don't wait until you kill someone. if they see you, they start to take action against you. you have not played this game.
the wolves are nasty. find some high ground (car for example) if you can. it'll give you a chance.
well, when a game is being attacked by uninfomed people or reviewers who are making HUGE errors in their reporting because they didn't put very much (if any) time in the game, i think it's ok when someone (like me) who has played over 20 hours gives an INFORMED response to the lies and tells someone why i like it.
you are correct in saying "play the games you like" . if i listened to reviewers, i'd had missed out on a LOT of good games.
