maybe it should be policy to get your facts correct before writing the review? and calling this reivew accurate? the only way it's "accurate" is if the reader never played the game and has to take your word for it.
really, just a few points:
your suggestion that the final fuel tank is too small - wrong. how many tanks did you upgrade to?
your suggestion that finding fuel is a chore -wrong...fuel is EVERYWHERE.
your suggestion that the 4th act...
even when the reviewer is wrong on many accounts?
no thunder, BECAUSE it's a sony exclusive it's being put under a microscope. in truth, the only people who are ripping the game are people who want it to fail - the game is selling very well and people are enjoying it.
if a game is fun, why do you care so much to label it "great" or "average"? i don't care if people call it great or average - i've had a blast with it.
i don't know how many people read the "reivew"; but, it's full of misconceptions and errors about the game. it's a laughably bad review from a no-name site.
it's hard to enjoy something as pompous as this.
sorry - massiveG said ubi told him there would be no AI teammates. that doesn't bothe me. the fact the game has to be "always-online......even for solo play bothers me.
i asked this question to a youtuber (massiveG) who interviewed Ubi and got an extended gameplay - but he never got back to me yet. i'm with you on this - the character they showed looked comical. i want to create my character.
so, you can play the game solo;but, it has to be online solo - EVEN though you own the disc???? i do not like the sound of that at all. if i buy the game and want to play the campaign solo, WHY should i have to worry about the internet at all? i read Ubi says the always-online is to ensure the "best experience" - really? i guess the game on the disc can't provide that - so, why are we paying full-price for a game that needs the internet for the full experience? i'm sure i...
my guess is any game they announce or talk about won't actually release for at least 5-7 more years.
that got my attention too - i might give it a try.
agreed. i've got well over 60 hours in the game and it's loads of fun. i don't know why more companies aren't smart enough to launch their games like this - if i had a game to sell, i wouldn't launch when other games are coming out.
edit - cageguard below - who cares? if it's any good - of course a new release should come out at the top - it's a NEW release.
DG2 on ps5 - i'm ready!
i was willing to deal with the technical issues due to the game being hyper FUN!
yea, when i got that call from obrien, i wasn't sure what to expect. that 2 minutes has got me stoked for DG2.
nope. worth every penny of the 60 dollars i paid - and it's the first game in a LONG time i'm not going to resell after finishing the main story.
" It is by no means a great game." - did you ever think that both UC1 and DG1 were new IPs and of course there would be room for improvement? both, however provide amazing fun - and that's what's important.
while i agree with your take on CoD - i've got over 60 hours in DG and it's a FUN game.
for sony, i imagine good sales trump journalists.
and look at his favorite games list - ace combat 5 ? yea, that's not repetitive or boring. LOL
