I tried Steam gaming once. Not that long ago with my 2010 PC. The constant freezing, settings tweaking, and "an illegal operation has occurred" errors were more than enough to turn me off of PC gaming. If you don't have the latest and greatest PC, these errors may occur while gaming on PC.
We got Earthworm Jim last gen.
They could pull an Nintendo and only provide a handful to each store at a time, like they did with the Wii
N4g is clearly full of single player gamers and collectors. I pay $60 for dinner for 3 at a restaurant and that's gone after a couple hours. If the game is good and worth my time, I will spend money on it. I don't buy games so I can play them 15 years from now. I buy them to enjoy them right now.
It seems to me it shouldn't be too hard to autoblock spam posts. Especially when the content is exactly the same.
This is why I buy consoles for the games they have and not the games that are coming, because then I won't be disappointed. Personally, I'm only buying the NEO / Scorpio near launch if they are backwards compatible. If not, then it'll be some years til they have a library that I am satisfied with.
As a console gamer, I don't care when or how often the upgrade occurs. As long as I can hop on my couch and start up a game in a couple minutes with just a controller, and not have to worry about "an unexpected error has occurred and your program must be terminated" then I'm good.
There are credible rumors, and there are non-credible rumors. Chances are this one is based in lots of truth.
Although if you go go by when the gen actually started. (Wii U). The Scorpio is coming out right on time.
Because of the good old days... We need to build a wall to keep Sony out of gaming. Make Xbox great again!
The thing about investments are that you win some and you lose some. It's up to each individual to decide whether or not a particular investment is worth the risk.
People are just mad that a multiplayer only game is (so far) rated higher than one of the best single player experiences of this gen (uncharted 4).
Guess what? Not everyone has the interest for these deep single player story driven games. Some of us like games that are relatively easy to pick up and play. The ones you can play for an hour at a time and be content.
Will I get overwatch? Not now, but probably will pick it up once it goes on sale.
Exactly, while most gamers don't appreciate SF5's lack of single player content. It's the only game that I've been playing consistently since release.
Good. Combos that can kill from 0 don't belong in Smash bros.
"Phil spencer is the reason i went* xbox this gen, Keep it Xbox!"
Only one word was wrong. It wasn't that hard.
Everything you said is true. However, the PS Vr is just as expensive as a new console (which is why I lumped it in), especially if you don't have a Move or PS Camera.
And while we don't know for sure what's happening with Neo / X1.5, there needs to be some details if they want anyone to be an early adopter, particularly with other definite options (NX).
@Khaotic, That's because they had to re-compile the game in order to make it work on the Xbox one. If they found some solution that doesn't require re-compilation, then every 360 game should be playable on X1 without publisher approval.
I can only budget for one $500+ console within the next 12 months. I need to know if it's gonna be the PS Vr, Neo, NX, or X1.5
@Khaotic, right because the original PS3 needed to reach out to every PS1/PS2 game publisher before letting you put your discs in the system.
A lot of people like to compare phone games to multiplayer games based on the number of hours played. That argument is flawed because I am never playing a phone game when I have a console sitting in front of me.
A better way to compare the value of two games is to have both games available in front of you and determining which you would rather play. For me, I will pick Overwatch, or even SF5 more often than most other games available right now. And for that reason, it'...
