People still need to take advantage of the Xbox live gold conversion instead. Add 3 years of Gold to account then select the 1$/month deal. Converts all 3 years to Gamepass Ultimate.
Then I buy four half price cards on black Friday and pay roughly 7-8$ per month. Easy value.

Nah you're just wrong. They main reason for Ultimate was to never just add Xbox Live Gold. It was for Xcloud and to have access to both libraries just like I stated.
Cheaper to Buy Xbox live Gold separate along with Gamepass than to buy ultimate so whatever crap you're spouting here doesn't make sense.

Gamepass Ultimate is more about the added access to PC games and Xcloud. Regular Gamepass regular you have to pick between PC or Xbox library.
I'd hardly say the point of Ultimate is combining Live and Gamepass because that isn't the truth.
