@Walker
Halo games have always outdone Star Wars games.
But this might be the chance for Battlefront to turn it around and beat Halo due to the Star Wars resurgence.
Lifetime Star Wars sales = 38 million copies (including all franchises like KOTOR, Lego Star Wars, and Battlefront.)
Lifetime Halo Sales = 65 million which is not including Halo 5 sales.

I'd say it's safe to say that Halo will do fine. I'm not sure if Halo 5 will outsell Battlefront because the market is changing and there is a lot of Star Wars hype due to the movie. But if the past is any indicator, Halo 4 sol...
Well if that was the case you could have bought the Collector's edition that didn't come with the statue.
So technically you wouldn't have bought it since exactly what you described is available.
@Chevalier Trust me that steelbook is far better than the crappy Halo 2 and Halo 3 steelbooks. If by stick out you mean the excellent build quality that isn't going to dent or get scuffed then yeah I know what you mean.
I own around over 50 steelbooks and literally they are all different sizes so no way am I buying that excuse. If the steelbook is the reason you aren't buying this particular edition then it wasn't for you in the first place.
@Foxtrot Just seems like a really odd thing to single out in a 250$ collector's edition. I figured the main attraction is the statue not the steelcase that doesn't come with the game disk anyways.
I'm baffled that's your reason not to get this edition.
Cant wait for my controller to arrive! I ordered mine on June 17th and I have been anticipating the release date.
I started my premium controller preference by buying a Razer Sabertooth which is one of the greatest controllers ever made. Then when I upgraded to Xbox One I bought a Scuf. I didn't have as great of an experience with my Scuf. I find the paddles difficult to reach and the sticks seem to be pretty low quality. Also my Astro A50's chat adapter won't f...
@objdadon
Doesn't mean it's better than Halo 5. Millions of people play and spend money on farmville but that doesn't mean its a better game than Halo 5.
Also in my opinion the Call of Duty community isn't something to brag about. It's about as toxic as it gets in gaming.
Actually no it doesnt.
Considering I bought mine when there wasn't an Xbox one available without kinect I'd say I'm no sucker and made the right choice. Ive had plenty of good times with my xbox one before they announced a sku without a kinect.
I also chose to beliieve Microsoft when they said they wouldn't sell an Xbox one without a kinect which is the only part of this in which I was ever the sucker.
So really I'd say I...
I'm happy I'm not one of these people. Sold mine to some sucker that bought his Xbox one without a kinect.
Was excited for the game but after playing the beta I cancelled my pre-order. Just not worth my time or money in my opinion
Pretty simple if you use deductive reasoning. First the article is about Japan and we know from years of console sales data that Japan doesn't purchase Xbox products like they do PlayStation. Second, this series is more closely associated with PlayStation than Xbox or Nintendo. Last, this is arguably the biggest Japanese release for the PS4. I'd say its pretty obvious why this will move PS4's over in Japan.
@inf3ctes1 Actually the news stories from about four hours ago confirmed by Dice's community manager have stated there is no server browser. Instead it will be skill based matchmaking.
@Flex Shows how much you know since they aren't using Xbox live servers but instead their own EA servers.
@T900
Your statement is pure speculation and the developers even stated they needed console versions to support the development of the game.
Yeah 15 million consoles and 57,150,000 games sold for an attach rate of 3.8 is so much worse than the estimated attach rate of 4 from this article. Excellent point.
I hate to say this because it may seem I'm trying to prove you wrong but these aren't Nintendo developers. This game was actually developed by Namco-Bandai and Sora Ltd. Your point still stands but I like to give credit where credit is due and these developers did an excellent job.
Gearbox? I think you are confused on who currently develops and owns the rights to the Fallout franchise.
Watch Dogs? It's safe to say that game doesn't even have a chance. If anything Inquisition is the only game you mentioned that I believe has a chance. I don't think Call of Duty will win because of franchise fatigue. My vote is Shadow of Mordor hands down at this point. Once again Watch Dogs? Really?
Halo literally has it's own convention called Halo con. Its about as massive as it gets in terms of video game franchises. It has a toy line, book series, comic series, and made the e-sports/MLG scene what it is today in the United States.
I think its harder to argue against Halo than for Halo in terms of the impact it's had on console gaming and its cultural impact.
There isn't anyway that Zelda is that franchise, I'd say Mario is by far the...
