I jut got off the phone with a rep from the Sony credit card division and the only way you can use it on the current purchase without paying interest is to pay it off immediately, wait for the credit to post (which can take up to 3 months, then close the account and wait for Sony to mail you a check.
@Sedin below...
He said there is no penalty for canceling the card.
The idea is to sign up for the card, buy the PS3, pay it off as if you were going to buy it in the store with cash etc...and then take advantage of the deal.
Poor credit management is on the consumer. That applies regardless of where you purchase the item, be it Best Buy, Circuit City, etc.
You can not knock a deal because there will then be temptation to abuse the privilege of having the card. If that is the case just cut it up afterwards.
glad you guys like the article.
In the real world, no they won't play with a tornado. But say you decide you want to play your buddy online and you select the home stadium in an area that is currently experiencing a tornado. Do you think the game is going to tell you "sorry you can not play here as the current stadium is experiencing a natural disaster"?
Guys I did not mean to cause all of this. Please see my comment attached to the report as well as the update to the story. Thanks.
Good thing it's not illegal in Arr-hen-tina
well it really does do that...
...that can make those players look like they are NOT running with sticks up their butt again this year.
I agree with you 100 percent. That is exactly my point.
Where are we going?
Seriously though man, I am not trying to give you a hard time, but Madden couldn't carry Walsh's jock strap.
You can't compare everyone that passes away that has a little to do with gaming to Bill Walsh. The man is up there with the greatest coaches of all time, his schemes directly effect the sport of football like very few have, and he had a video game that was one of the first to ever focus on the sport of college football. It paved the way...
Ok, I haven't had a chance to write a preview of this game yet so consider this a rough preview for now. We played this game at this years E3 and while it does look very cool and has tons of ways to kill people, slow motion bullet to the head, stand offs, 30 something different animations that are based on where you shoot someone, etc, etc. It was a little awkward on the controls.
I will review the audio and video of our demo tonight and get something up soon but PS3 fans shoul...
Hey ripten.com is looking for more writers if any of you are interested here is the link....

Any instances you know of with people getting banned for this?
It probably just looks for certain fields and if it sees that it has those fields it approves it.
Hey I know its been around but that doesn't mean that everyone knows about it. It is still news to a lot of people guys...
Crysis is more than just looks. The big difference between these two games is that one allows you to interact with your environment like never before and allows for render distances that can not be equaled with another engine at this time.
@gnothe1
Understandable about trading it in, but you could throw it up on ebay or just play it and try to enjoy it. It is NOT a bad game by any means.
It may not be worth 60 dollars, but when you think about what you can buy for 60 dollars, how many games really are worth it? The Madden I saw at E3 is surely not worth 60 dollars and that will sell like hotcakes once again...
You should contact him and form a class action lawsuit. I am sure Judge Judy has could find a spot in her busy schedule...
Yea but a poster on the 2K board just made a good point. It does not say "NFL HALL OF FAME" it just says hall of fame, and as long as the NFL doesn't have a trade mark on those three words the kid has no case.
@mikeslemonade
If you intend to take advantage of the deal but do NOT want to pay any credit card interest (which is what I suggest you do) then you apply for the card, purchase the PS3, as soon as you get your 1ST statement you pay the ENTIRE balance.
This leaves you with a zero balance, then you wait for the credit of 150 to show on your account, you call Sony and have them close the account and then they will mail you a check for the balance on the card which ...
