This is plain advertisement. The are offers at walmart, bestbuy and during holiday season it is gonna blow up. should we post all those special offers on N4G?"
There is no difference between announcing this sale, and a console dropping in price. Both are letting gamers know that there will be savings headed their way.
So yes, if there is a sale, in my opinion it is news.
Yea this one will be worth the money
controllers do look pretty sweet

Those days may be making a come back sooner than you think...
Its a business decision. I used to work for another large corporation that launched a site dedicated to helping consumers understand how to fix common problems that occurred with their products but they refused to publicize the site for the longest time out of fear that it would detract new consumers from buying their products. God forbid they know that the products break from time to time.
Most consumers are not going to know to ask about the inner workings of the console, and...
alriiiighty then
Post the comment on ripten's site about the kill cam thing...pretty sure they could find out about that too.
Other then that I agree with you, I think they are right on target. I couldn't stand seeing guys in bright lime green running around in Rainbow Six Vegas...
I disagree with the lazy accusation. Infinity Ward is going about the production of this game the right way dedicating individual teams to each platform instead of porting it over from one to another. They are anything but lazy.
Don't you kind of think it looks silly running around in neon camo? It takes you out of the experience ... kind of like a girl saying she has to go take a dump right before you go at it.
I am glad they are not doing this. It just adds to the realism, skinned weapons are enough for me.
Every site starts somewhere and while you may not view them on the same level as a joystiq or kotaku I actually have respect for people that try and do something on their own in life.
As far as the timing goes, it wouldn't matter if they released the review ten seconds after the game came out. With a game like this the majority of sales were preorder anyway. The hype sold this game well before any of the reviews came out. The reviews will come into play when the parents and cas...
jackdoe and rogimusprime,
Thank you for having brains and being able to see through the hype. It is refreshing to see that at least some of the readers on this site have the ability to think on their own.
@otherZinc,
SO...according to your logic every site that publishes a review is looking for attention? Or is it just the ones that publish reviews you disagree with? Wake up! He is not telling you to NOT like the game, or not even to NOT buy the game, simply that he was let down by the game and if you can't appreciate that and respect his opinion then that is on you.
Someone mentioned Heavenly Sword getting an 8.0. Well, that was a different writer #1, and Heavenl...
Oooh, games that come with required reading. I get it.
Heavy,
you are definitively entitled to your own opinion, but so is the writer of the review. That does not make him a "hater". It just means that the two of you have different opinions.
No one is saying it is a bad game overall.
Not a Sony fan. I posted both reviews. The campaign and the multiplayer. The overall score was a 7.8. I agree that the guy who rated the single player was probably mad that it did not meet his expectations but that doesn't make him a Sony fan. If anything it makes him a diehard fan of a a franchise that he feels let him down.
Not everything is as black and white as you guys want to make it out to be sometimes. Come on, enough with the fanboy accusations. A review is nothing mor...
Not sure if this is hype...the overall score for the game was 7.8.
Multiplayer got 10 and Single player got a 5.4! Ouch!
Hey Rams fan, are you tired of having Orlando Pace protect your blind side as you sit back in the pocket picking apart opposing defenses? Well then, good news — the third Madden 08 roster update will have you lying on your back toothless and grasping at your rib cage faster than Chicago’s Lance Briggs can flee the scene of an accident.
Notable Transactions: David Bostons guns (the flexing kind) are no longer in Tampa, Byron Leftwich has a new home on the bench in Atlanta, and T...
The game really looks great cooke and plays alot like Metriod did for the DS.
Max,
This is a larger issue that needs to be discussed and agreed upon amongst the contributors on this site. Kotaku and Joystiq as well as other gaming sites are also read by readers outside the US and they have all reported sales as well.
My feeling as a contributor on this site is that sales saving gamers money on the things they love most (consoles and games) are well in the realm of news.
