@HansyJ

I finished the first one completely, but this one doesn't feel as engaging as the first for some reasons.

Either way, booted the game up on my pro yesterday, graphic so much cleaner now, might give it another go after I wrap up a few other games.

I only played it for 9 hours before I stopped, the performance mode was quite blurry back then...

That proved gamers complain on things that they don't really care.

Yes, and?

@TheNamelessOne

And yes, so GravityWells commented on you because he disagree with you. You do realize that is ok too, right? Apparently not.

Elden Ring is a good game, but a badly optimized one.

"This is cope and excuse making. It’s $700 on the store shelf."

What excuse? $450 is the slim, $700 is the pro, the difference is $250.

If you own a PS5, and your pay $700 for a PS5 Pro. You now have an extra PS5 that you can sell or use. $700 was never the upgrade price. Unless you give away your PS5 for free, the price to upgrade will never be $700.

Do you understand the basic logic now?

First, it is not a $700 upgrade. The digital slim is $450, and the pro is $700, so it is a $250 upgrade.

And for that $250, you get the following...
- 1TB extra storage
- faster GPU (6.5 more Tflops)
- pssr AI upscale
- ray tracing hardware
- wifi 7 (instead of wifi 6)
- 2GB extra ram for the system

Releasing new hardwares don't bring you new games automatically, just like releasing a new graphic c...

Just like how people can't see the different on phone.

I don't understand what these reviewers expect, it is a GPU upgrade, it is not an auto "remake" machine.

Why do you buy a PS5 Pro if you only play one game that nevers get update? Genuinely curious.

Two more days, can't wait. 60fps Fidelity mode is game changing.

Of course people don't see a big jump when compare static screenshots on their tiny phone, most media just ignore the increase in FPS like they don't even know how games work, and just join the hate train without processing the information themselves.

Is it expensive? Yes. Is it overpriced? In 2024, sadly no, everything is expensive these days. Is it worth it? Depends on each per...

@darthv72

What does someone still burn a disc has anything to do with this scenario? Where can I even buy a physical pc games these days?

I am quite looking forward to this one.... I put many hours on Sim Ant back in the day.

Hopefully can sell mine too, I take good care of my stuff. It is way above ground so it is not dusty, and I keep all the original packaging.

Day one!! It is not cheap, but I worked hard to afford things like this, I will be happy to know that I have the most powerful console for the next three years at least.

I always find these labels useless, ps3 can do 8k 120fps if it is NES graphic. It always depends on how the developer use the resources, those labels merely mean the highest output that the hardware can do, which is pointless to most customers.

@TriniOutsider

We all know what it means, no one is confused, chill.

@Jin_Sakai

Whatever method that is, likely only possible with the exact Decima engine.

And also better image quality than PSSR doesn't mean it is more efficient, if for some reasons they want to push for more effects on screen in the future then they cannot afford to upscale with the gpu and need to use PSSR instead. Dedicated hardware (PSSR) is always more efficient because it doesn't take away any resources.

I missed Ghostwire when it was on Game Catalogue, will play it this time... too bad Tango Gameworks is no longer around to make PS5 Pro patch for the game :(

I still don't get why they closed it...

If somehow they can create better graphic without PSSR, then I don't see the point of using it. But hopefully PSSR will continue to improve to a point where it will be as good as DLSS, then all games can free up resources for other things.
