We need another video game crash.
Surprised Nintendo didn't price it at $40.
Why doesn't VR just take a page out of Gunpei Yokoi's book and just go with whatever $200 worth of tech can get you for a VR headset? That includes peripherals too. Even though consoles have the cheapest option right now, the startup price is still too expensive.
What I'm thinking is recreate something between the N64-Gamecube era in VR and work our way up so that machines with a Pentium Haswell and an R7 250 can run VR titles at an acceptable framerate.
If this is true then; intent to buy a Switch and any other Nintendo product, cancelled. I'll just go 2nd hand from now on if I want any Nintendo products.
Why are people getting so hostile over my thoughts? I only got somewhat cocky in my second post due to how BiggerBoss answered me.
I don't care what's on the box, Sony and in fact thank you MoonConquistador, MS are coming out with new hardware to battle with PC. Here's my question. Why not label the Pro and the Scorpio a 9th gen console considering it's mostly new hardware trying to compete with something and saying it can still play the same games is a bit ...
Cause Sony needed to come out with new hardware to compete with something like I just said. No one has provided an argument against why it's wrong to think this way.
The PS4 Pro should honestly be viewed as a PS5 imo. It's new hardware whose main purpose is to compete with the ever growing PC market and the whole point of new console generations is to keep up with market and competitors just like the Pro.
EDIT: I will gladly take any disagree on this console fanboy site. This place can be as bad as the people here say the PC community is.
Thank god you more than likely don't own a business then.
The Pro and Scorpio should be marketed at 1080p machines. I would also say 60FPS, but I'm not sure if the Pro can do 1080p 60FPS on a majority of titles.
I can only imagine what a mess the Pro is on the dev side since the CPU must bottleneck the heck out of the GPU.
A company doesn't have control over your PC though, plus the community caused an uproar over paid mods and Valve removed them, if they didn't then we would just move somewhere else. You only have 3 options right now in console gaming, PC gaming has infinite options being an open platform anyone can do anything on.
I mostly blame the Wii U and poor marketing though. I'd love to see how well this game would've done if it was released on the Wii.
You always get burned with consoles. Join PC gaming today!
PS4 Pro should technically be considered a 9th gen gaming console anyway since Sony made it mostly to compete with PC and soon MS will release a console to enter the same market.
An RX 480 and i5 CPU will run circles around the Pro. The Pro's CPU is just an Athlon 5150, but with 8 cores instead of 4. Even a $60 Pentium G4400 is better than the Pro's CPU by having fewer, but far superior cores.
https://pcpartpicker.com/li... Here's a great Pro killer for only $20 more. This thing also has a glorious upgrade path allowing for an i5 and a better GPU later if you so chose.
Actually the Pro's GPU I believe is an underclocked 470 so it's slightly weaker. I'm also having a hard time finding native 4k PS4 Pro games and I mean native 4k. No checkerboard rendering, just the system rendering everything at a native 4k resolution. If a game does pull that off though I can assume that graphical settings and FPS will take a huge hit.
For a 9th gen console(since Sony needed to come out with new hardware and "Keep people from jumping onto...
I wonder how much they got paid to say this.
Concept was okay, execution was horrible.
Funny, I just completed my Final Fantasy I-IX collection yesterday.
Just make good games for it...
