Who cares? I hate this series. The only one I did like, and that was just the style of it; as in the way it looked, was part 9. Of course it was the same game as FF7 and 8 and all the other FF games but atleast it looked distinct and had good art style.

As much as I love this series and wish it to continue on and on and on, it needs a reboot. It needs to do something different and it needs to do it on the next go around. Something ground breaking or revolutionary. The thing is Insomniac seems to think adding a few new weapons and tweaks to old ones is enough to keep gamers interested and it's not.

I thought that the PS3's R&CFTOD needed full on space exploration in an open, sandbox galaxy, but it didn't happen. I thoug...

Funny it fell 100% in sales yet managed to kick the piss out of the xbox 360's year end sales by 100%. The media, as biased as they are, you just gotta love them.

5 disagrees and no one can dispute my claims. Makes sense, though. Don't try to back up your blind fanboyish opinions. My claims are true. There isn't anything new to GT5 other than a string of cars you wont' even use and some polish on the grafix which won't be noticed if you're not on an HDTV to begin with.

Yeah, they might've hacked it but it only takes 4 hours of your initial time, 30 steps to complete and a string of cost along the way. So, basically, it hasn't been hacked.

I don't know what matters most to people but the Ps3 isn't even capable of running emulators for the nes off the xmb. Think about that. If you can't even run an emulator 3 years into the consoles life, you probably won't be hacking your system to play burnt Ps3 games or anything of the sort. Get real.

It'll probably be Mega Man 10 with nes quality grafix!! Man the industry is suffering. When games like Killzone 2, Uncharted 2 and Infamous set the bar so high you really see the weakness in other software, though. Big surprises end up falling short.

1. I've played it. Extensively now. It sucks.
2. I wasn't expecting shotguns in a war torn game world.
3. The only patients it takes is waiting to see when the 256 players are coming into play. Sadly, I'm still waiting to see it.
4. I hate COD 4, 5 and 6. Now what?
5. The grafix do suck.
6. I play rainbow six vegas on the PC. Mag can't compete. Mag can't even compete with Halo 3's online. That was like 2 years ago, man.

Verdict: MAg blows and...

I've seen and played both these games on an emulator for free and they look better than most PS3 games.

Played the demo and it's nothing fantastic. In fact, if you played this on a 25 in CRT tv you'd get the nostalgic feeling that you're playing Grantourismo for the Ps2. The racing genre hasn't evolved, right along side fighting games and FPS in how long now?

Mag was a huge let down for me. Well, not really because I didn't care for it eitherway. In fact, I don't even game online much and was just wanting to check out the hype. Mainly because everyone tells me how great Zipper is or was. Well, they might've been good but if this game is any indication of their past glory count me out.

I don't get where they say 255 players online at once because I've only seen about 16 to 24 in my group play and at most standard 32. I've never ...

I can see where the AI of a computer controlled opponet or enemy isn't as good as one being controlled on screen by a real player somewhere. The problem is simply how do we bridge that gap and make other genres of games work online? All the developers seem to want to do is take the safe route and make FPS shooters with 3 modes of play - Death match, Capture the Flag and Team Deathmatch. That's my main concern.

How about we take a genre and allow us to do something different?...

Well, I did have some sarcasm in there. The thing that amazed me about the nes era was how great it was at the time, and it still is don't get me wrong, but when you read up on the story and how they forced the developers into agreements and exclusivity and how if they made a game for another system it had to be completely different than the one they made. Sometimes even naming it differently. They even tried to carry that business model over to the Snes with a lesser measure of success.

Ain't that the truth. Looking at Uncharted and playing it makes MGS4 seem stale in everyway. Like, how was this even a contender for Game of the year, ya know? I'm not saying Kojima isn't talented, he is. He just didn't make the revolutionary game everyone says he did. The graphics are good, they're passable, but they're not great. The textures are flat and murky. Washed out even. The controls are stiff and disjointed. As I said, it takes 3 button presses to lay prone. You have to hit...

Can't say Capcom didn't give them the benifit of the doubt, though. Hell, they pushed for Resident Evil to be on Nintendo systems for how many years now?

Nintendo just needs to go back to the way they were in the 80's, making developers sign stiff agreements and bullying them around so they couldn't make the same game on other systems like they did to Sega. Nintendo, while enjoying great hardware sales and 1st party sales, is out for themselves and nobody else. They've hur...

While I'm sure the Ps3 isn't tapped for power, Uncharted says hello, I'm sure it's getting closeer than we probably want it to. But if I could reiterate on one thing it'd be MGS4 and Kojima. Talented as all get out guy, but face it; MGS4 is a last gen game with 1st gen Ps3 graphics. The controls are stiff and awkward still. It takes 3 button presses to lay prone on your gut and this is a stealth game. A game where quickness is what counts.

Uncharted 2's stealth segments e...

Online gaming "can" be fun in moderation. I don't like playing online but once or twice a month, though. I think I played Fat Princess more than any online game ever made and that leads me to my big concern with the online genre.

The thing that online gaming is plagued with is too much of one thing. Developers are afraid to step out of the death match/capture the flag genre that is attached to their shooters. They need to step away from the FPS online death match ...

That's what happens to online games, guys. You pay for a window of opportunity to play them. If you're not on the games bandwagon day 1 of release you're cutting into your window to enjoy it. Better spend that 60 bucks wisely. Then again, anyone who'd buy an Ea game at full price is crazy as substituting Bat $#*T for jelly.

I still laugh when people complain about when a game doesn't include those damn online deathmatches, though. hahahahahah, for what? Why? Who cares.

I'm laughing at you all who say that On live is the way of the future. I really am cause it shows how clueless the average consumer is in this field.

Please elaborate on what kind of future it will be. You mean one with 3rd party multi platform games that refuse to push any boundaries? Do you honestly think you will see any proprietary games for this system from Nintendo or a Sony? Do you think you'll be playing the latest Mario Bros or Uncharted using this system? Games t...

Is it me or was that the EA showcase? Every game shown was an EA property. Lame. Great concept, but I don't think it will nore do I want it to replace the home console media we have now. Sony and Microsoft can easily combat this.

5875d ago 2 agree1 disagreeView comment

Of course it is Nintendo, it's gonna be even longer when you keep using 9 year old GameCube hardware to fuel your next system. The only reason you say this is because you're not taking the strides that Microsoft and Sony are. Simple as that.
