The PS4Pro would have virtually no criticism had they not put strikes on youtuber's accounts for leaks and the fact that the they have been hiding information/mediocre specs with a sudden launch date. And ok, yes the design is ugly for a Sony console and the benefits to owning one are very limited (especially for existing owners--same framerates for multiplayer), but the system woudn't have received such a negative reaction if they had put out information more properly (less stealth) ...
The point about the presentation being underwhelming is correct. He actually made a chart showing how 1080p/4k content is handled by PS4Pro. That was the highlight for me :)
Fast forward to where we moan about how PS3 had blu ray but PS4 doesn't have UHD. OMG. We all know Sony will try and sell a cheaper UHD player than the One S smh. The thing these journalists forget is that extra capacity wouldn't benefit actual gaming because PS4 has to install to hard drive any...

He can keep his power supply, hard drives, same keyboard and mouse. Only things he really needs to upgrade is the GPU and CPU. Sometimes the motherboard can be used still if the socket is still supported.
Edit: Can reuse the system ram and cpu cooler as well
If you are okay with a mouse and keyboard for competing, I can easily recommend a high end PC. If not, maybe Xbox but I don't know for sure if they will allow framerate advantages per title or across the board. http://wccftech.com/xbox-sc...
I don't think it has to be as powerful as Xbox One if games run at a lower native resolution and maybe upscales to 720p/900p (nx screen resolution)

The whole concept of PC is freedom and no restrictions. Until New 3ds or Xbox One S we haven't seen online consoles feature upgraded performance. I agree with you however that there will still be an advantage but not a huge one (hdr, resolution, textures, etc.)
