No. The reason they acknowledged it is to appear half-way consumer friendly. They would really look bad not confirming its existence at all to the masses when this has PlayStation fans and potential fans confused not knowing what to expect from the brand-moving forward this is a new move from Sony consoles and needs explanation...

@OoglyBoogly Microsoft could have made it an Xbone exclusive. I am happy I will be able to play it on my gaming rig now that from what I hear they fixing the UWP issues like Crossfire/SLI/vsyncoff...but I see your point. To me Steam is amazing but I don't want one program to dominate PC gaming and I don't want one OS either which is why I root for Linux/Steam

Its best when they develop for PC then just downgrade the settings until console can handle them (resolution, special effects, textures, aliasing, etc)
They are trying to get people to upgrade to Windows 10 and have their own software ecosystem so I can't get mad at them.
Only thing we can hope is Valve's push for more compatible games on Linux works. We all know Steambox is not going down so good

PC gets the best versions of games with more options, updates, frequent sales, free content, texture updates, community support not to mention servers. To add to your level of hurt PC exclusives are definetely not meh: Arma series, Squad, Counter Strike, Half Life, Stalker series, Escape From Tarkov, Free Forza game, Black Desert MMO, The Old Republic, etc.
I think people like PC because its just built on better principles, freedoms, and cost. I personally wonder why I am on consoles anymore the longer I use them.
It would be cool if gaming companies focused on gameplay and not resolution I agree. This way the framerate will match the gameplay needs. We need innovative gaming and not just shooters with eye candy
