Ok so you want to cancel your pre-order on principle because there is no dev console.....so that you can pay more for an inferior version...that still doesn't have dev console. Where's the logic in that?

Yes it is just the console commands, but it's one of many indications that the pc version is almost a straight port. I don't care about the commands for server options, but you can change graphics settings and effects and sound, and mouse sensitivity, and draw distances etc etc, way beyond what you can choose in game when you have a console key, you can basically change any part of the engine or gameplay with it, so it is kind of a big deal to not have it.

It's hard to say, with all the classes and levelling up options being dumbed down, there won't be as much diversity, there are like 6 skills max for each class, how console-ised of them.
I used to like tech powers, so i'll probably go with that again. I personally don't know why anyone would choose the soldier class, it takes the game from being a tactical rpg....to just another shooter just by choosing that class. At least this time there will be heavy weapons for the soldier

I'd go so far as to say that the multiplats of this year will be better than the exclusives.
For reasons unknown people are obsessed with exclusives now, it really doesn't reflect anything other than idiocy on the developers part because they sell less.
If PC gaming goes fully digital, I think i'll have to move on from gaming altogether, because i'll never be a console gamer again, but I don't like the power to be in someone else's hands, which is what essentially happens with DD.
It's upsetting to think that a masterpiece like this will sell so much poorer than quick cash in games like COD and Halo, people need to get some gaming taste.

I'm looking forward to it, but it has been in development for so long and been cancelled?? so many times, or handed to different devs, that i don't know how it will turn out. AVP looks amazing and we'll have that very soon, so that should keep me going.
I don't feel there ever was a decent aliens game. Which is a shame. Hopefully with this game and AVP ( as well as Aliens 5 being made ) we will see a lot more.
As long as the multi isn't some online only 6 months of support before the servers are dropped type deal, then i'll give it a go.
I still love bioshock 1 and I personally don't feel that the game needed any kind of multiplayer, but if it turns out decent, then why the hell not
Not that graphics are the most important thing about a game, but no one has mentioned whether the graphics are improved over the first at all, 1 for one would like to see improvements seeing as it was close to 3 years ago that Bioshock came out.

I like impulse more than steam, you can back the games up like you can in steam, except you can do it all offline, and you don't need to run the impulse client to run the games, very easy to use.

Don't get me wrong, i'm still buying the game, I know there are a lot of childish people that would scream "down with DICE!", and threaten to cancel their pre-order, i'm still looking forward to it, but it's not going to live up to it's potential.
Like I said though, the dev console is used in the creation of the game, they must have purposely disabled it. But like MW2, hopefully someone will enable it again.
