Great idea!
The quality is awful, but surprisingly enough, they give a much better impression than any of the previous leaks...
And WOW... I don't think it looks good just for the "beta stage," but the graphics are flat-out impressive. Already better than Perfect Dark (which had its moments).
Couple moments:
--In the 3rd vid, between 1:20 and 1:16, impressive textures on the rock wall
--In the 2nd vid, around 2:42, water effects starting to look very ...
Judging by your comment, I doubt you know very much about Alan Wake...
Watch this video. It's unbelievable... The developers show how Alan Wake takes advantage of multi-core processors: demonstrating light, physics, and insanely realistic graphics. All in real-time.

Don't be too quick to shrug this game off just because a couple of screenshots...
is not dropping the core SKU. Even though the games are great, its really frustrating to think about just how much better they could have been/would be, if devs focused on only one sku with an installed harddrive.
DVD space doesn't matter. After all, if pc games like Crysis can do it, so can GTA. But lack of a harddrive DOES need to be fixed. Just hurry up and drop the Core version already!
These are the EXACT SAME SCREENSHOTS that were released months ago! Only they're much, much, much lower res...
If you want to judge the alpha screens, go to Bungie. The SAME images are there, but at least they're high-res versions (actually, they're ridiculously high-res, better than anywhere else on the net)

Not sure...
Great water! Just watching this made me go back and check the E3 developer walkthrough again...
Checked it, and as expected, the part when he walks into the flooded bathroom (about 10 min and 30 seconds in), is still unbelievable. Hands down, the best water effects I've ever seen.
Glad to see they've been improving on greatness!
Lookin good...
Saw this vid in Power of Green's post in the "147 images" article. I KNEW there was something funny about those screenshots...
I don't know if these screens are just old, or they were playing it on a 50 yr old tv, or what. But there is no way the game will look like that when it's released. No way PGR 3 is THAT much better looking...
* Watch Power of Green's video, post # 25... THAT is what Forza will look like!
Well, to each his own...
* Just watched the demo at gametrailers (HD version), and yeah, the game looks just as awesome as I remembered!
The graphics look fine, but really, it could look like Mario 64 for all I care... Realistic sword-fighting, intelligent crowd manipulation, dynamic climbing system, and of course, medieval stealth action.....
Yup. That's a purchase.
* If you haven't seen it, watch the video of the X06 demo. It's awesome!

I want this game so bad...
Garfield comics sometimes joke about going to a party and "sacrificing a small goat".... I just can't believe someone actually did it!!!
Poor sales shouldn't surprise anybody--Sony released a $600 dollar console for crying out loud!
Don't agree? Then imagine this: Sony added a few more SPUs/features, releasing an $800 PS3 instead; would it sell more or less? Or if they threw in a little extra RAM and topped PS3 off at a $1000; would sales rise or fall?
There's a limit to what consumers are willing pay, and it seems Sony has gone well above it. However, the remedy is a simple one: Drop the price! ...
unless I'm missing something, the full-size image is just 4 screencaps squeezed into a window smaller than a single 480p image. I just want it bigger, that's all
Just wish the shots were a little bigger!
Never had much interest in DOA. Doesn't matter to me if it's PS3 only. But what will matter, is if Team Ninja decides to release ANOTHER DOA GAME, instead of Ninja Gaiden 2. Seriously, I cringe every time I think about the amount of work done on DOA Extreme while nothing has been heard on the next-gen sequel to one of xbox's best games. Someone, please, just tell me that NG2 is in development...
It just depends on who directs it, and how they do it. I only read the first half (didn't want to spoil too much), but as long as it's not done in an insanely cheesy style, it might be a pretty decent action flick. After all, this isn't Shakespeare we're talking about, it's Gears of freakin War.
You were talking about Bill Gates, #3... In that case, I agree with your sentiment completely. The policy should be, if somebody has only 1 bubble for an extended period of time (say, more than a month or so), they obviously haven't learned their lesson. And unless they submit a bunch of news or something like that, it should be the Banhammer on people like that!
It's called reading. If you consider anything longer than 2 lines a "rant," then perhaps you should exercise your brain a bit more often---It probably wouldn't seem so daunting after that. Or, you could simply not read it (which I'm sure you didn't anyway, but still decided to comment).
One vid's a short bit of gameplay with the Halo 1 pistol. The 2nd vid briefly demonstrates customization by showing a "two-colored spartan" donning a mix of green and brown/orange armor--not one uniform color like the first 2 Halos. Also, there looked to be well over 2 dozen colors to choose from, so a lot many to choose from as well.
