Everybody already knew this. Playstation has always been the most popular world wide. Why create articles that just states the obvious and gaslights the fanboys? What is even more interesting than this to me, is how generally just the hardcore gamers are the ones to adopt next-gen first, but this time around it seems that more casuals are making the upgrade than normal. My guess is that the Pandemic has had a huge impact on this, and if rumor is true that Sony has already sold 14 million co...

Luckily you can modify the plates yourself very easily and still not void warranty by doing so, so luckily it can be changed. In the process of changing mine right now. Confirmed by Sony, as long as you don't break console seals, you are good.

N64 was amazing, but being a first iteration of 3d games for console, it hasn't aged as well as the NES or SNES.

Games take time to make my friend. They are coming, just need to wait a bit longer. We are at that awkward phase where last gen still hasn't been completely phased out. This year should be great for video games, just don't expect next generation games for a couple of years once developers have figured out how to use the development tools to their fullest. Or not to mention Unreal Engine 5 when it has completely been fleshed out and released. If you want true next gen as far as gra...

I don't think Sony will put this back up for some time due to CDPR trying to dictate refunds without talking with Sony. This is Sony's middle finger in the air to CDPR after trying to dictate refunds without any communication or buy-in by Sony. Sucks for any of those who purchased a digital only version of PS5 - the game does run just fine on it compared to last gen consoles, which are the main concern.

Looks like CDPR sided with Net Watch ;)

Most people who get the refund will be re-buying the game is my bet, defeating the purpose of this entirely. If you really want to condemn CDPR for releasing a broken game, you won't re-buy it in two months when it receives patches. Those who do decide to go the refund route, if you really want to stick it to them, don't re-buy the game, otherwise the label of whiny entitled gamer comes to mind. Personally I am enjoying this game on my Series X, so i'll give CDPR a chance to p...

Completely agree. The scope of the project changed as technology changed as well. Just something to consider. This is what happens over time, do you remember what happened with The Last Guardian? Never even arrived on the PS2 for developmental reasons, but there is no way that game would have run on a PS2.

Game plays just fine on Series X. I haven't experienced any game breaking bugs, just bugs that are amusing/entertaining. If you were buying on a last gen console, i'd advise not to, but you aren't making a bad decision here. The only people who will be sour about it at this point are those who are stuck with a last gen console trying to run this game.

It really is something else. I wouldn't be surprised if Microsofts hand is forced to updating their controller to have similar features. Sony took Nintendo's tech from the joy-con and actually implemented it in a way that developers want to use. I noted recently that even AC Valhalla now uses the Dual Sense with its latest update. With all this developer support, i won't be surprised if this is the standard eventually moving forward. Good on Sony for doing this.

If anything comes out of this at all, there is one thing in mind. I used to not be open to the idea, that ambitious games would be held back by supporting out of date hardware. I think if anything, this game proves this very concept to be true, and will serve as a realization to all gamers out there that this idea of supporting old hardware at EOL can in fact impact development for all platforms. It has also shed new light on the idea that games like Halo Infinite could suffer the same resu...

This is sort of a bummer considering the next gen consoles are using AMD Tech. Not a huge deal, just allows me to keep my expectations in check on what to expect console wise, also considering the console tech is much weaker than an 6800XT. Raytracing is certainly the future though, and i can't deny it after playing Cyberpunk on PC with a 3090. It completely changes the game and essentially is the defining feature in the next generation of games. AMD will have a solution on the next rou...

Hey ed, check out the Digital Foundry video showing the game run on PS4 base console and PS4 Pro. That will answer any questions you have no doubt. If you are going to play this on console, upgrade to a PS5. Thats the best advice i can give. Even better, get a PC and you will get a taste of CDPR's vision.

This game was in development for 8 years though with the mindset of it being finished much sooner. Unfortunately the game is too ambitious for its target console after all of the delays and next-gen has now arrived. They had too many adjustments that needed to be made during developement, and next gen dev kits have only been around for about a year at most. Next-gen wasn't really being held back here considering those consequences, CDPR's developement timeline and delays is what ma...

Stoked for this announcement regardless of it only having a C trailer. Much needed revival of a fantastic dormant IP that could really use a refresh GoW style makeover. Lets hope The Initiative can do it right, it will give me a reason to play my Xbox again.

I would love to play this game, but refuse to play it on PSVR. PSVR is such a trashy experience for VR in general. Its a great entry level device for casual consumers, don't get me wrong, but not how VR is meant to be played. Let me play this on a different HMD with higher resolution and framerates and i am all over it. PSVR just made me extremely nauseous when i tried it, and it just didn't come close to comparing to experiences i had already had on my HTC Vive. If Sony goes fo...

This would be cool, but things always get dicey when you try to add functionality to old games that was never its original intention. I am very impressed with all of the features that have been added like 120fps, FOV Sliders etc, so maybe 343 could do this right.
