That's not what I took away from Jim and Herman - believing in generations and leveraging the power of PS5.
Thank god for Demons Souls is all I can say.
Not a very nice thing to say mate - bit whatever. I can't stand either of them so it's no loss to me.
What's not lost on me though is ms has acquired not created - and thats not a good thing. Very happy for both parties - to say they're a good fit for each other is an understatement.
You miss understand - I just think its a waste of money. As you said $7.5 Billion dollars - imagine what that could've done with a little thinking.
This is massive for ms - but will it stop Bethesda games being buggy messes?
Its massive news - confusing - but massive. Huge win for ms.
Bethesda roster ain't that pretty right now - Dishonoured failed to gain traction - niche at best, Prey - same boat, The Evil Within - same boat, Skyrim - coming to a toaster in the near future, Fallout - the less said the better, halo - same boat, Elder Scrolls 6 - unknown, Stanfield- unknown.
While all of those games I portrayed negatively have potential to be great - thats a massive investment on potential.
The studios they acquired already cover...
For $7.5 Billion dollars I would hope so - not much of a revelation though. Although I would've thought most people interested in those games would've played them by now - maybe not the latest DOOM though.
Sure seems like a lot of money just to say 'available on gamepass'.
Cheers - I'd just woken up and obviously everything went over my head.
No - they just make a smaller group of people more money. They undermine brick and mortar and take ownership away from the end user.
Does this guy explicitly say PS5 doesn't have HDMI 2.1? Wasn't the article more about their new High-End projectors? I know this years TV's didn't have HDMI 2.1, because I'm looking to buy a Sony (usually go with Panasonic) TV.
That's my preferred option - not a fan of Doom and think their other titles are average. Their best is behind them.
Unspoken - Did you miss the recent Demons Souls trailer? That was done on an in-house engine by a relatively (talented no doubt) small studio.
Thats exactly how it should be - but they didn't do that with Minecraft, which at the time was the biggest game in the world. So who knows.
Fair chance the games will still be multi-plat - like Minecraft was. Lucky for me I have zero interest in Bethesda games.
It's not about that - its about creating new games for PS5.
Yep a smarter buy, Bluepoint would be a great start.
Haha true - Todd Howard's a grub. This news will get up Tameems nose - he's not the golden child anymore. NT relegated to support status.
Moz - Not everyone likes Bethesda, I'm one of them.
lonewolf10 - they don't.
Gamer - where did that rant come from? haha - KONAMI are doing fine with funds, they just wanted a quicker return and hurried Kojima along. The Fox engine was a fantastic engine - and had KONAMI been a little more supportive and actually had a decent work environment. They'd probably see more quality games being made using Fox engine.
As it stands I hope they can come to an arrangement with Sony. They have too many decent ips to just let go.
I don't care who it is - using language that can be misconstrued and rolled back on is plain dishonest and scummy.
