Who is it a better deal for?
if you want to compare entry level prices to jump into next gen gaming well then I can bring up the core 360. Its less than 299 on many online sites right now.
You bring up wireless gaming as if thats big for people who play online at home. Its not. Most gamers know that the better connection is the wired connection.

At least 1/3rd of ps3 owners decided to abandon Sony for the original Xbox. Anyone who works at an EB games or any other gaming store will tell you that most of the ps2 sales are guys buying another one because its so cheap and replacing broken ones. I think its safe to say 1/4 of the ps2 sold since launch 6 years ago are replacements. I would think that there are less than 50 million working ps2's out there now. I would love to see a survey on that. I'm sure 50 million is a high number....
2. Value for Money
Despite the price tag, the PS3 is excellent value for a very small amount of people. sure, the console itself is $200 more expensive, but for the 1% of gamers who have 1080p tv's, and the small percent of gamers who actually game using a wirless connection, and the even smaller amount of gamers who will buy blu ray movies on their standard definition tv's...its forcing you to buy 200 dollars worth of stuff you don't want nor need. Interesting indeed.
I couldn't agree with you more. Well said. I do have one for me at launch. But TGS didn't do it for me. It didn't tell much about the Ps3 and what you are paying 600 plus dollars for. So they weren't going off of their expert game advice. also, I saw the gameplay video with my own eyes and even they say that they couldn't really see a difference in motion. Its about her being a sony fanboy/girl/whatever. There is no such thing as a Girl game. People have different tastes and she won't even give xbox brand a chance. Just like any other extreme fanboy. Developers like visual concepts are trying to hype their launch games. They have invested millions in ps3 developement and have to fight for a measily 500k install base for sales. Say the same things about the 360 version. I think they are just trying to garner some hype so all the excess money they have invested in the ps3 pays off with sales. We will see when the game is actually released the difference. But I guarentee if there are any difference, it won't be for the better on the ps3 version. Watch and see. Should be anywhere from 6 to 12 hours max. A hour and a half movie of entertainment costs you 20 dollars. And thats not even HD. So if you tripple the entertainment thats 4 and a half hours for 60 dollars. So if you buy a game in HD for 60 dollars and you are entertained with a quality game. 6 to 12 hours is an excellent bargain. RPG's are different by nature. But action titles are best in that range.

If your favorite game is GT4...well, the 360 is for you. GT4 is optimized with 2 exclusive episodes for the 360. And from what the developers said the episodes are HUGE. And Rockstar is already familiar with the 360, so don't be surprised if it runs better and looks better on the 360. You misunderstand what I'm saying. I disagree fundamentally with the 5 reasons he gave. Most of those reasons he gave only affect a small amount of gamers. thats my point. Its a good deal for a small amount of Wealthy gamers. The core 360 can be found for under 299 and its not crippled to the average gamer. It may be for someone who wants ONLINE play but can be upgraded if wanted later on down the line. its not crippled for someone who wants to play next gen games and plays their older...
