If you remember correctly MS kept saying that Specs don't matter & to "Look at the games". MS kept pointing to the fact that their games looked better and that's all that should matter. Which is about all they could say with the NDA in place. How could the xbox one do the 4k gaming that they claimed it could do and invest billions into AMD for a lesser graphics card? Does that make sense? NO it doesn't.

MS spent billions for lesser tech than whats ...

1. NDA prevents anyone from talking about it
2. Ms has just released new Stereo Drivers to developers.
3. At TGS Microsoft will announce the release date for the Xbox One right after they drop a bomb to the World Press

Say what you want, but there are aspects of the Xbox One's architecture that hasn't been released to the public due to the NDA. MS spent billions on this NEW Wafer to Wafer tech with AMD.

Lastly, why have developers been...

MS just released info on the custom CPU. They still haven't released the info on the custom GPU...But, like the article states, more is to come about that from Microsoft. Common sense says the reason they didn't brag about actual specs early on is because they don't want Sony to counter their moves. They will wait till its too late for Sony to change anything. I've heard that at TGS, MS will tell about the custom GPU. What we know as of now is that the GPU is 1.3 TFLOPS. What...

Ps Eye is not the same tech as Kinnect 2. Let's see how it works in the real world. The quality of the camera is different. 720p vs 1080p for one thing.

Also, the Kinnect 2 is intergrated into the xbox one and doesn't draw from the APU/DGPU but on the ps4 it actually uses 2 cores of the APU, which means any games that use it, will be gimped in their graphic fidelity. So there are two things going against devs using the tech..

1. It would gimp their ...

Sony fans have been dismissing what I have been saying, but I speak the truth and this is yet another article that supports what I have been saying.

My friend who works for Microsoft has told me stuff along the same lines that is being discussed in this article and others that I have posted or given links to.

Sony fans for some odd reason just can't fathem that this is true. How could it be that the xbox one is more powerful than initially expected? ...

Not so fast in assuming the ps4 version will be better, as more info keeps coming out to the contrary. I actually believe that it's the opposite to what many have believed and the xbox one versions of multiplatform will be better along with the 1st party games obviously. All recent info has pointed to this.

"The ps4 1.8tf is a theoretical number.. this 40% is being based on white paper tests.. ps4 does not use the same custom silicon as x1..

Everything discussed in the article is in regards to the CPU and how massive & custom it is. What hasn't been talked about is the custom APU/DGPU. That is still under wraps, but just like the CPU has a TON of surprises, the same will be shown with the massively customized APU/DGPU. As stated in the article, more is to come!!!!!

"I see a heap of people trying to add the x1 memory bandwidth and not getting the right figure. They all seem to see that some thing is ...

read the link in my first post. It explains why MS couldn't say anything yet. That 3 billion dollar deal they is also explained in my link. MS has been up to something huge and it went right under Sonys nose. LOL

4559d ago 8 agree21 disagreeView comment

read my link. Sony's cpu & gpu is not customized...it's basically off the shelf with minor tweaks to make them work together. Not even close to the level of customization in the xbox one.

Did you even click the link in my comment? It is basically stating that the custom cpu that everyone is just recently learning about, is the tip of the iceburg. Within the next week, MS will reveal info about their custom APU & DGPU... Up to this point MS has been hush for multiple reasons explained in the link.

With the Xbox Ones CPU, APU & DGPU, it would easily push well over 1.8 TFLOPS. More like 4 to 5 TFLOPS.

What we know is this. The xbox One...

More and more info and tech analysts keeps coming out about the custom cpu in the xbox one. On top of that, there will be some info within the next few days about the xbox one's gpu & custom chips. There is one console that has been surprising developers who have actually worked on it and not just from looking at the original specs announced months ago. Microsoft has been vague for a reason. Here is a quote from an insider and a link to where it was quoted from. I suggest reading th...

My question is I wonder how many xbox one gamers are going "ALL DIGITAL" with the xbox one? What percentage of xbox one gamers.

Is it 2-1, is it 50% of xbox one day one owners...etc...That's something that we won't know until after launch and game sales come in. But I have a gut feeling just based on my circle of friends and family it's more like 2-1 are going all digital, which would definitely effect pre orders in a major way.

Also, o...

The one thing pre-orders don't take into consideration is that the core xbox one gamers/fans are excited about the all digital future that Microsoft proposed. The xbox one was intended to be a diskless console.

With that said, I know many of my family & friends haven't pre ordered a single game because we plan on buying everything day one as a digital download. This way we can use the console as originally intended by Microsoft.

1. The ability ...

It's definitely good stuff. I'm with you. I'm loving the xbox one more and more as well. This is what they meant by saying it's rocket science stuff in the box.

It definitely looks like it. MS knew what they were doing all along. That's why they kept saying it's not only about the raw numbers that Sony was throwing out there.

What is even more interesting is they decided not to talk about specifics under the hood until Sony announced...

Developers have been pleasantly surprised by the extra power the xbox one has due to the custom architecture in the xbox one. 8 gigs of ram, 8 gigs of flash memory, 2 extra custom cores for the hd audio, etc....

Here is a quote from the article:

If the cache really is 1024 bits wide, and the developers can make suitable use of it, then the Xbox One’s performance might surprise us.

This technical unveil confirms much of what we suspected abou...

well said. But those "Small" things take the load off of the local hardware, which is the point. If you free up the local hardware, you in return make the hardware more efficient and better for games. As the years go on, they will offload more and more data as internet speeds increase and they figure out how maximize the cloud.

4561d ago 1 agree6 disagreeView comment

Marketing gimmick? Did you not watch the video. Next gen Xbox One games are using the cloud at launch. Anytime you offset cpu calculations to the cloud, you free up the local hardware. That's a good thing no matter how you cut it.

Just because you aren't interested in the tech, doesn't mean it's a gimmick. I actually think it's awesome and it will get better as internet speeds increase.
