true stoery. my brother in law is a game tester for xbox one. he said today that cod ghost looks amazing. i asked him if it was 720p and he said he doesnt know but he said it looks 1300p. he said that that the graphics will blow people away. he said forza is flawless. he said nba 2k14 is amzing and he said ryse is stunning. he did say he didnt really like the gameplay and he was halfway through the game. it has 13 chapters. he said his job is to report bugs etc....and he said all the games he...
I know it's off screen video, but it is looking really impressive. Smooth frame rate, high fidelity graphics, and gameplay looks great. I'm excited and it's definitely a DAY ONE Digital Download for me! November 22nd can't come soon enough
If the ps4 is supposed to be 50% more powerful than the Xbox One, why is it that the Xbox One version of Battlefield looks better at this point than the Ps4 version? I'm confused? The video footage from Eurogamer is proof. Someone explain what is going on please? Honest question. :-)
First of all, the memory systems are also significantly different. The Xbox One combines 8GB of 2133 MHz DDR3 memory with 32 MB of embedded memory. The PlayStation 4 skips the eSRAM and provides 8 GB of 5500 MHz GDDR5 memory. This means the Xbox One provides 68.3 GB/s and 202 GB/s of memory bandwidth, while the PS4 is 176 GB/s. But these console’s CPU, GPU, and other every other device share this memory pool. Whereas, the Radeon R9 290X provides 4GB of dedicated memory operating at 300 GB/s. ...
"Who is right or wrong? Is the xbox one more powerful then ps4 and my answer is "YES" Tera Flops are not the only thing that makes a console GFX better. If a console has hardware rendering of 90% of all effects aa/ af/ raytracing lighting/ sound/ video/ and texture. And all of these abilities never touched the 1.3tf GPU (The balance & offloading that MS has been touting) how powerful would this hardware be over a console (Ps4) with a little more GPU that has to do all said ...

Basically PS4 is 120W or less .
No wonder Cherny itself said it is less than PS3 Super SLim
If the total wattage is 100-120W
then you can imagine the APU it self will only have 50-70W (max)
***) to put in context XB1 rated > 500-560W in AC, but 253 is max wattage in DC, 215 TDP
**) PS4 is rated 250W in AC, so max is 110W in DC, TDP will be 100W or less
Interesting.....

Being an American it does play a part in it for me. I typically buy US products over products from other countries. It played into the reason I bought a 2013 Ford Mustang.
Now, when it comes to consoles, it just so happens the console I like most because of the GAMES & the focus on Digital Future & Tech, I favor the Xbox One. Though I also have a ps4 pre-ordered.
I'm an American, during the Olympics, I root for USA, ...
When you combine sales, it gets really interesting. GTA is killing with both console versions. I'm picking up my copy today!
It's also very interesting when you combine sales for consoles. It paints the picture that MS still is #1 in the USA! As an American consumer, I love to see that!
1: Grand Theft Auto V (X360) - 2,100,371
2: Grand Theft Auto V (PS3) - 1,421,835
3: Call of Duty: Ghosts (X1 & X360) - 732,000

GPU's love GDDR because they don't work on clock cycles. They process their tasks parallel and without interruption, like a "stream". Hence their name. If the CPU is calling the RAM, it has to wait for that RAM to return with its result. It can't change what its doing, or carry on with something else, it literally has to sit and wait. The CPU could miss several clock cycles (depending on the clock speed) until GDDR returns. That's why DDR is prefered as a general com...
"The article by Edge over these past days has blown up massively, and guess what, this is the sole purpose of THIS ARTICLE. They've got what they wanted, generated a metric ton of ad revenue and page hits. That article was wrong for many reasons:
•How can drivers in console still be un-finished and the hardware not final when they've gone into mass production?
•DirectX has been on the platform since the start, it's not buggy or "poor" it jus...

Xbox One launch games will be 1080p 60fps, that's what this article is about....
Launch Games.....
Imagine 3 or 4 years into the life cycle.....
4000k games on the Xbox One....As already confirmed by Microsoft on several articles....
Too bad Sony has confirmed the Ps4 is NOT capable of 4000k games. LOL...LOL....LOL....
Let the excuses begin.....

Mono Drivers have just recently been replaced with Stereo drivers. You are incorrect in just about everything you stated, no need to go through and dissect your comment. Bottom line is, you obviously believe what you want, just to make you feel better about your choice in console. Good for you. But, it doesn't change the facts. Xbox One...The games will be the proof. Just because you don't understand the tech involved and all you understand is TFLOPS &a...
This shouldn't surprise anyone. Developers are just getting the stereo drivers, which unlocks the full hardware and is optimized to take advantage of the custom tech. I said it months ago and sony fans laughed and poked at me. But, 99% of xbox one games will do 1080p 60 or 30fps easily. November can't come fast enough!
“Ten years ago, you could argue that a console’s power was summed up in terms of a few of its specs, but Xbox One is designed as a powerful machine to deliver the best blockbuster games today and for the next decade.
Xbox One architecture is much more complex than what any single figure can convey. It was designed with balanced performance in mind, and we think the games we continue to show running on near-final hardware demonstrate that performance. In the end, we’ll let the...
Once November approaches and games are shown taking advantage of the new drivers, it will become very very clear to those who doubt. I have both consoles pre ordered. But to be honest Sony fanboys make me ashamed to even say that. It's embarrassing to me how blind many of them are. No need to bash another console just because it's the only console you chose to purchase. Just be happy with your choice and enjoy the next gen of gaming. I will have best of both worlds.
I can understand why some think the 4k gaming is a joke on the xbox one. You only feel that way because all you understand is DDR3 ram & 1.3 TFLOP GPU core....
What you don't understand is everything I mentioned in my previous post. Which is the difference maker in how the Xbox One will achieve 4k gaming at some point in the life cycle of the console.
But it's a fact that Microsoft on several occasions have said the xbox one is capable hardware ...
My friend, as do I, make well over 100k a year kid. I have 4 custom PC's in my home. He is a PC only gamer. He builds his own PC's and he is serious about it. That's his hobby. I have tried to get him to buy a console and he won't. Even after seeing Ryse, he is still not buying a console.
I didn't get to go to the event in Seattle, but he was impressed with the graphics for Ryse. He said it was the best looking game he has seen to date.
Bingo....you hit the nail on the head.
not lying. it depends on company u work.
