Only 5% of consumers have tv's that have hdmi. Now guess how many of those people have tv's that are hdmi 1.3 compliant. My point is....many of the people who brag about the ps3 being 1.3 and the Elite being 1.2, won't even see the difference because they don't have a tv that has hdmi 1.3 compliant inputs. Your braggin about a feature that little to "NO" people can enjoy and even if they could....its not anything the human eye would be able to see. This is just silly.

Are now 309.99 New and 290.00 Used. WOw...Thats getting real close to that 200 dollar sweet spot. This is getting more and more interesting indeed.
Come to find out....The actual flier does state that 250 is for the hard drive included in the trade. Normally when they did the premium trade in...the hard drive was seperate. But with this exclusive trade in deal they changed it. It is indeed 250 with hard drive. And MS will send you out the data transfer cables for free. Also....its a 250 store credit...it doesn't have to go towards the Elite. But you have to purchase the Elite to get the Trade in coupon. So no its not 280 as I was ...
The actual console has a chrome finish
Ethernet Cable is included
Wireless Controller is included
Headset is included
Componant Cables are included
That is the 50 dollar trade in difference.
Keep in mind the 120 gig hard drive is 180. So essentially you spend a little over 200 after your trade in and get a brand new Elite 360. Its a Good deal if....
A. You just want a "new" console to replace your old one.

I'm Sure Square has taken note to all the Final Fantasy XI fans on the 360 who log in and play every day. It doesn't suprise me that their Final Fantas XIII will be multiplatorm. Every time I log onto xbox live....I always have 4 or 5 different friends playing Final Fantasy XI. It has a solid following on the 360. Me personally, I enjoyed it but I'm looking foward to Mass Effect, Blue Dragon, Eternal Sonata, Lost Odyssey, Two Worlds, and Too Human.
At EB Games/Gamestop...They normally take the Hard drive seprerately. But the actual flier states for 250 that includes the hard drive trade in. Of course 280 would have been a better deal. But you still spend a little over 200 and get a new Elite 360.
I realize I am the minority. Only 5% of consumers have hdmi on their TV's. I don't pretend I'm the norm. I just speak honestly from my perspective. The Elite is perfect for me. The minority. I think that most 360 gamers are happy that MS didn't charge 600 and tell them they had to pay for features they don't need. HD dvd/hdmi/bigger hard drive/wi fi/ ect....You get my point. I know who I am and where I stand amongst 360 owners. And I only speak for the 5% of 360 gamers that will be i...
Looks Great on my 1080p tv. I have played the PC version and the 360 version. The 360 version looks better upscaled to true 1080p than this video shows. I wonder what difference the hdmi will make when I get my Elite in 13 days. I notice on the ps3 it makes things look sharp. You see it in the text more than anything. But there is a differenc if you have a 1080p tv with hdmi. Just a cleaner, sharper picture.
I enjoyed Fear on the 360 and gamers who have a ps3 and if they...
Its only a good deal for those who want HDMI and a bigger hard drive. Many 360 owners don't need either. Its just nice to have that option if you want it. I realize that less than 5% of consumers use hdmi....That would mean a good 500k xbox 360 owners might want that as an option. But it doesn't affect the other 10 million consumers. MS is fair enough not to charge anyone and everyone who wants to play next gen games 480. They give people options based on their needs.

They want developers to develope for the ps3 first. The console that has the worst developement tools of the two. The console that has the much smaller fan base as of now. The console that costs 1/3rd more to develope for than the 360.
That is an interesting concept that goes against common logic. There are many reasons to why 3rd party developers are developing on the 360 first.
I know that in order for me to get the most out of my ps3 experience....Dev...
Thats only 200 dollars difference and you get a "new" console. You get it in "BLack". You get a 60 dollar hdmi cable. You get a 120 gig hard drive.
Thats a Great Deal. Especially when its only 20 dollars more than just getting the 120 gig hard drive.....But you get a whole new console with HDMI built in and with the hdmi cable.
Anyone who had intended on getting the bigger hard drive....this is a must have deal.
You get 280 for the premium with the hard drive. They do the hard drive seperate. ITs a good deal. You upgrade to the Elite for only 200 dollars when the 120 gig hard drive alone is 180. Excellent deal for those who want the hard drive and or hdmi.
Its going to go back and forth week by week....month by month....its all depending on what movies get released in that time frame. Neither format will win until there is a player on the market that is 200 or less.
HD DVD has the advantage by default when it comes to casual consumers. And HD dvd players are 400 now and by the end of 2007 they will be 300 according to what I have read. Christmas 2007 will be huge for HD dvd.
I currently have over 100 HD dvd's an...
Then I would have to say the ps3 definately in the top 100 must have products for men. But, with that said..... The price needs to come down a couple hundred for me to reccommend it as a "Gaming" platform. You can't call yourself a next gen gaming system and cost 200 more than the competition....yet not match the competition in regards to "Games".
Sony knew it was banking the fact that the ps3 couples as a Blu ray player. We will know if it pays off for...
I own 6 xbox 360's and 6 of many multiplayer games and I own every game released to date. Yet I haven't had any disc scratched problems. I'm not saying some people aren't having problems with this. I can only speak for myself. No problems with my games or 360's. Knock on wood.
This magazine thinks every "man" should own a Wii? Its number 8 on their top 100 kits every man should own. Wow...Interesting indeed.
I have a family member that told me this a few days ago. It will be a good deal indeed. You will get 250 for the premium without hard drive and 280 off with hard drive to go towards the Elite. That is Great news for those who want
A. HDMI output
B. A new 360 in Black
C. A massive 120 gig hard drive
I know I can't wait to get mine. I know it doesn't improve the games you play. But hdmi offers a sharper/cleaner signal over compon...
I'm glad you pointed that out. I called Microsoft and they told me that if the game says 1080p on the case...then its made for 1080p. Looking through their web site I noticed exactly what you did. Who ever runs the site doesn't have accurate information in regards to resolutions. DJ looks for anything to make invalid points. Right now there are currently about 14 games on the 360 that support the 1080p resolution "out the box". Sure all the games are upscaled to 1080p...but th...
"In our opinion the Xbox 360 Elite is the best value in gaming to date. Not only do you get the 120GB hard drive and HDMI port but Microsoft spares no expense and included a nice HDMI cable AND the original HD/SD combo cable. This truly was a surprise to see both cables included with the Elite and is very appreciated. The black case, controller and accessories are very sexy. Microsoft has a winner with the Xbox 360 Elite!"
400 for the 360 premium was already a gre...
