That would mean that there would be a lot of 275 to 300 dollar premium systems for sale on Ebay. That is good for people who haven't jumped in yet and they save 100 dollars on the premium. Not everyone needs or wants or cares about hdmi or bigger hard drives. Right now HDMI is only in less than 5% of homes. So while many will eventually buy a tv with hdmi....its not even close to being common yet. Which means....275 or 300 for a premium is a steal. It will generate more sales for MS and...
Looked better in every instance....I assumed that HDMI didn't matter as well. But now that I have the Elite....My views have changed. He is right...Every game that looked great on the 360 via componant now looks much better on the elite. If you only have a 1080i or 720p tv...the differences are there but they are slight. If you have a 1080p tv....The difference is big. Thats why I have said before that if they re reviewed the 360 games using the elite on a 1080p tv...they would all get a...
I agree with you. I have played it for both consoles and its not a 6. In my opinion its a high 7...to low 8 MAX. I think people just expect too much from "EVERY" game. It is what it is. ITs a Spiderman game and I think its fun and I know my Son loves it. Not all games are revolutionary. And they shouldn't all be either. But its definately solid fun in my opinion.
Is Spiderman the movie made by Sony?
Why does the 360 version look better and play smoother?
I thought they were showing the ps3 version a little extra love.
I played both version today...360 and ps3 version. I wouldn't have rated it so low myself. Maybe high 7 or low 8. But why does the ps3 have such a problem running this game. The 360 runs it notibly better and the textures/lighting/shadowing looks slightly better on the 360 version of the g...
You have to commend Microsoft this next generation. And I can see why it pisses of Sony Only fans....I mean....The Premium 360 is dominating the next gen market in total sales. Then they revitalize the Microsoft Console by releasing the Elite. Even without the Elite the premium 360 is selling currently twice as many units as the "NEW" ps3 console. While second to Nintedno in the USA since the Wii just recently launching....The Elite is selling out when re stocked and the already...
Excellent point. 80 dollar difference and you get....
HDMI built in $26
160 more gigs than the premium $26
HDMI cable $26
Thats 80 dollars more than the Premium....
Its a Good deal for anyone who needs or wants those extra features...
BTW....I konw I have said it before but.....HDMI output on the Elite is a slight difference if you have a 720p or 1080i tv....
But if you have a 1080p ...
360 gamers got to be in Gaming Heaven when developers are jumping at the chance to bring their franchise games to the 360. Then you couple that with the fact that its relatively easy to develope for and has superior development tools this "Next Generation". 360 gamers have invested in a next gen console that developers love to develope for. When developers enjoy developing on a platform...they can put out their best work....and "Gamers" benefit from this.
...
Final Fantasy XI did it for the 360...it requires the hard drive and its sold just under a million last I heard. Most likely over a million now. GTA would sell like crazy and anyone who wanted to play it on the 360 would by a hard drive without if they don't or haven't already.
"The first glimpses we've had of the 360 version, thanks to a trip to developer AM2's headquarters in Tokyo, suggest that the game is going to be just as good - if not better - on the Xbox 360."
That is a straight quote from Gamedaily's preview of VF5 for the 360. And this is with months to go before release. WOW.
And they were sold out by 2 pm on Sunday. Its not like a "new" system launch. But with that said....Thats pretty good. Most stores sold out sometime on that re launch Sunday. I don't think anyone expected there to be long lines of people waiting to get one. But the damand is solid and steady.
P.S. Sorry I haven't been on here for all day Sunday. I have been playing my Elite 360.
Anyone who says HDMI doesn't make a huge difference is flat out ...
why do you feel like you have to have wi fi with your console? You know that for online games....Connecting via your cable is much better right? I have wi fi with my computers and my ps3....yet I prefer to go the wired route....there is nothing worse than playing a laggy game due to your wi fi connection....My ps3 is only 20 feet from my wireless router yet I only get a 70% signal....And the wi fi signal even at 100 percent is much slower than the wired signal. Me personally, I just can't...
So now when I watch HD dvd's I will get the True digital 1080p signal for my movies....Games I most likely won't see a major difference due to the fact that the componant cables aready were displaying the 1080p signal...in that case the image will just be a tad sharper and deeper colors....Nothing major for games. Movies is where my excitement is at. I have over 100 HD dvd's and now I can view them in True 1080p via HDMI.
The larger hard drive and Black color is just a bonus ...
And 12 million copies of Vista purchased for people uprgrading from xp to vista. DJ, your hate is evdent as it alters your sense of reality in a major way. Its official...and it amazing...20 million copies of Vista are sold and running in people homes and businesses all in "ONE" quarter. That is incredible no if ands buts about it.
P.S. I love my windows vista....By the end of 2007 I wonder how many millions of homes/businesses will have vista on their computers...
But, I thought it was common sense anyway. So its coming...we just don't know when yet. Interesting Indeed.
And if you switch back and forth you can clearly see that HDMI looks notibly better. Look at one part of one screen shot. Particularly the edges of a balcony, ect...thats where you see the difference. The Blacks are deeper and the edges are sharper. WOW....Now, I'm super excited. And where you really will see a difference is in motion by the way. Interlace and progressive is the exact same resolution.....1920 by 1080. Prgressive is just smoother in motion and the lines, text, and color...
I own a Ps3 and 6 xbox 360's. I have my Elite paid for in FUll and I'm just waiting until Sunday to get my 120 gig, HDMI, Black xbox 360.
I haven't had "ONE" xbox 360 go bad. I'm not saying they don't go bad. But, I can honestly say that either I have had some amazing luck or what MS has been saying is true. The 360 has a normal breakage rate for a "new" console. There are over 11 million consoles sold to date. And 3% of that is 350,000 broken consoles....
I'm in Seattle and I have a US account. Downloaded with no problems...I'm about to play it before my Lakers game starts.
They compared the elite to the premium on a small 1080p tv. Its already been stated that you can't see the difference from 1080i to 1080p unless you are using 56 inch tv's and up.
Secondly...they only spent and hour comparing. They self proclaimed that it wasn't an official comparisson. And with that said they did notice a difference on Gears of War in that short period of time on a smaller 1080p tv. I would assume that if you are comparing on a 61 inch tv the difference ...
But whats even bigger is if the deal that I just saw on Fox News...If Microsoft buying Yahoo goes through...WOW...I see what Microsoft is doing with this whole Live Anywhere plan. WOW
