"Sony has stuffed up with this generation by giving up three of their biggest advantages over the competition...price, time to market and exclusives. Yes, The PS3 will turn a profit (eventually) but at the cost of market share."

Well said buddy. And to the comments about me being a fanboy. Of course I get bashed for being honest. But, anyone who knows me knows that I'm a Gamer. 4 computers networked in my home for "Games"....6 xbox 360's all hooked to DL...

They have many media people and fanboys convinced that at some point we will be blown away by Games on the Ps3. I'm sorry folks. But I'm not buying it. I think games will obviously get better for both consoles. But there is only so much developers can do with the ps3's limited Graphics Ram. The Cell is not optimal for Games. That is what developers have said. But because Sony has so much leverage in the Gaming/Entertainment industry.....If sony says " The Cell is the most powerful...

So are they making it for the 360 then porting it to the ps3? That seems to be a common trend among 3rd party developers. And in every case the original looks and plays better. Interesting indeed. I remember Microsoft saying over a year ago that, that was their stratedgy in this next generation. Make a system that was easy to developer for that had superior development tools. This way MS and its fans would get all the love from the developers. Seems to be working flawlessly so far. I ...

For Gamers and Developers. Gamers get to play classic Games touched up a bit with their friends on the 360. And Developers get to dust off the old games and re release them for Gamers in this Next Generation. WOW....that 120 gig hard drive will be needed here real soon. Quake 3 arena is timeless. Same with Unreal Championship. Kudos Micorosoft.

"Will Not buy into the HD Player Market untill the price of the stand alones get to under 200 dollars".

So early leads mean absolutely nothing at this point. It neither format has penatrated the Main Stream Base of Movie watchers.

I have invested in both formats. I can afford to do so. I could care less which side wins out.

The price of HD dvd's are generally less expensive than Blu ray movies. The only HD dvd movies that are mo...

It would have to over take standard DVD. Average Joes would have to have a blu ray player in their home. ANd of course the 5% HDMI HD TV owners would have to increase to 70 % of consumers having a HDMI 1080p tv. Think about it. That won't happen any time soon. The one thing HD DVD has going for it is....By the end of this year the price of the stand alones will be at the 300 dollar price. Once it hits 200 dollars I believe movie players and movie title sales will drastically increase. ...

HD-DVD / Blu Ray..... Not needed for Next Gen Games. Thus being an option if you choose it.

Wi-Fi....Not needed for Next Gen Games or online play....Thus being an option if you choose it.

Hard Drive....Not needed for Next Gen Games...thus being an option for those who choose it.

You see it makes no sense to price your console 200 dollars more and 400 dollars out of reach for Casual Gamers.... just to add wi fi and next gen movie playback. Those ...

I wasn't taking Jabs at the Ps3. I was replying to many of the previous posts on this thread, as well as giving my opinion on the Keypad attatchment adding to the unbelievable Gaming/Entertainment experience that is the xbox 360. I was directing my response to "ps3" fans who commented on this downplaying the Keypad and MS's innovative gaming decisions.

StateofMind.....I never said that MS releasing the Elite is the reason the Ps3 is inferior. I'm talking "ONLY&qu...

I love it. Right now I use a usb keyboard...But this is fantastic and innovative indeed. You can enter the text input just like you would on your sidekicks ect.... Xbox live ground breaking updates....HD dvd add ons....1080p support....HDMI, bigger hard drives....Its amazing how MS has been able to over deliever on every single aspect of the 360. When I purchased my 360's....I did so happily as did millions of other Gamers. But what we didn't expect is how the console we already loved an...

It will bolster the review of the HD dvd add on. HDMI makes a huge difference for HD movie playback and entertainment enthusiast. At the time of this review Componant was the biggest factor in the review score not being stellar. Its a Good add on for the millions of people who don't have 1080p tv's and with the elite model....1080p tv owners will be happy. Great for everyone. In the last two weeks there have been more HD dvd releases than blu ray. I'm glad to see HD dvd back on track.

Well put. I like the Get it...Got it....Good part. ha ha ha ha. Sony fanboys don't get it. And they have to pay Microsoft if they want to play those Exclusive to Microsoft Games. Its nice to see Sony fanboys paying Microsoft to play these Great Exclusive Games. Ironic and Hilarious. Kudos to Microsoft. There are advantages to playing it on the PC if you have the latest hardware to run the games. But there are advantages to playing it on the 360 as well. Nothing beats playing games on...

Its a well known myth. Many of yall actually believed that the ps3 was going to be great for games. Yall bought into what Sony was claiming. But you should have known at launch "a year late" that it was all hype and no substance. Sony stated a long time ago that ps3 games would blow 360 games out the water at launch. And some of yall really believed that. And now you take it too personal when you find out it was all a lie. Get over it. I did. I just use my ps3 for movies ri...

There are many factors in how good a game looks.

1. What type of tv you are using.

2. What resolution you are playing it on.

3. What type of connection are you using. HDMI, componant, ect....

Those are just a few factors that play a "HUGE" role in how the game looks when you play it.

I'm so tired of fanboys blaming it on the developers. They do the best job they can and they are artists. They want to ...

You are so full of it. Prove one word you just typed. Humor us buddy. Its hilarious to see you continue with the same B.S. I can post 8 links that "clearly" state that MS has "SOLD" not "Shipped" 10.4 million consoles by the end of December 2006. Also, MS stated that they "Shipped" their 10 millionth console at the end of November 2006.

And with that said. I was surprised that the 360's numbers were so high considering the shortages due to the first and "ONLY" Worldwide launch. Even though MS spread itself thin doing so, they still managed to get impressive launch numbers a year Early on the competition. Interesting. But who cares? I'm excited about all the next gen content being released within this year.

Once again. MS confirmed to IGN that the 360's internal output is digital. So it would be digital to digital when they release the hdmi adapter for previous 360 owners. That indeed would be the hdmi 1.0. Every ATI video card on the market is digital out. ATI also confirmed in many interviews that the 360 video out from the console is indeed digital. They release analog componant cables and vga back in 2005 and launched with the system. But from day ONE MS said they would release an hdm...

I would assume its because the premium 360, with the hdmi adapter, wouldn't be hdmi 1.3 compliant. It would be the standard version of hdmi....With the 360 elite it has the newest version of hdmi 1.3. Back when the 360 launched in 2005, hdmi 1.3 wasn't out yet. The ps3 was the first hardware to have hdmi 1.3.

This dude keeps spreading the same lies. And as a result his bubbles have paid the price.

ATI and MS confirmed to IGN a long time ago that that the hardware is digital coming from the 360. It just converts it to analog for the componant and vga adapter/cables thats out now. So making a hdmi cable for existing 360 owners would indeed be digital out.

The reason the 360 didn't launch in 2005 with hdmi is because hdmi was not even close to being a standard. T...

It would now let you watch 1080p movies on "ALL" 1080p tv's. I figured they would release this. I'm assuming it would be an actual adapter that plugs into your 360....thus giving you a digital signal. I called xbox customer service asking the same questions....They told me that they would be releasing one. He wouldn't give me a date though...I recall DJ and others saying that it would never happen. I knew MS would take care of the premium owners who want or need hdmi as an opti...
