Your right. The arguing is silly. And in regards to HDMI cables...the difference is the quality of the shielding. And yes there is a difference. Its not MAJOR...but if you spend 600 on a console and 3000 on a HD TV...60 dollar quality shielded cables is a MUST.
I have the Ps3 and the 360....I buy every game for both consoles...I'm what you call a video game hobbiest...I have the money to do it.

You have to understand why the 360 is a better deal for "MOST" gamers. Thus the 2 to 1 sales ratio since the Ps3 has launched....

Blue Dragon is a guarenteed AAA game. Just look and read the reviews thus far...Its averaging an 8.9
With 4 of the 6 reviews thus far giving Blue Dragon a 9.0....the other two are high 8's. I'm definately picking BLue Dragon up...WOW.

If thats not enough for you. Even with the Ps3's selling in the few million.....The overall Movie sales are Even thus far. With HD dvd pulling ahead over the last 2 months. Here is a link from a couple months ago showing that the total amount of HD dvd and Blu ray movie sales were wihtin a couple thousand of eachother.
The format war is far from over....Obvious...

The 360 is selling 2 to 1 over the Ps3. This is since the LAUNCH of the Ps3 folks. Prior to the launch....in the same time period...the 360 sold 5 million consoles by MAY. Its now July and the ps3 has only sold 4 million.
You can make a bunch of excuses to why this and why that. But the numbers don't lie. It is what it is.

I think this is a great move by Microsoft and the HD dvd camp. Believe it or not....Microsoft has a huge impact on the format war.

And I expect mid 9's here in the USA as well. I'm super excited about it. I have been playing the Demo and I love the art style and the gameplay. Another Smash Hit on the way in the spirtit of Dragon Quest/Zelda/Final Fantasy Games. But new and refreshing...Not a part 10.

yes of course. But at the same time....Its a toss up with me. I do understand that Blu ray and HD dvd first gen drives load data much much slower than DVD9 disc drives.
Playing next gen....waiting for 30 seconds to 1 minute between levels is very very annoying. I actually don't mind changing discs if needed.
The thing about DVD9 vs Blu ray is even the most high tech computer...
