Sony's pockets just aren't deep enough buddy. I know you love sony and you think their a great company...As do I. But they are not in the financial situation to buy out the remaining nuetral companies...
Now Toshiba and Microsoft....WOW....They have the money to do major things in this industry. MS has Billions and billions to throw away without denting their pockets one bit.
LOL...only one big problem with that my friend....Blu ray doesn't have a combo disc....LOL....You have to buy blu ray movies and then the DVD movie....With HD dvd....they have combo formats....so there is no need to release regular dvd's anymore. They can just release all combo discs for the HD dvd camp and Warner/Paramon/Universal/and Dreamworkds could impliment this flawlessly....and the format ware would indeed be over shortly after.
From now on all the companies that support HD dvd....Warner,Universal,Paramo nt, Dreamworkds,ect......They shouldn't release standard DVD's anymore. They should only release the HD Dvd and DVD combo discs.....Now this would also mean they would have to lower the price of the combo discs to 19.99 rather than 5 dollars more like they have been doing.
What that would do is have HD dvd movies in the hands of Billions of people who don't have HD dvd yet...but they have the movie in...
How many blu ray stand alones? Last I read a month ago it was 100k. LOL....
10 to 1 with the ps3? LOL....Even if 100% of ps3 owners bought blu ray movies...which only 40% is aware that its a blu ray player...LOL....it wouldn't be 10 to 1 buddy.... That would mean that the Ps3 has sold 5 million consoles....which it hasn't....its only at 4 million....

The Ps2 sold 120 million consoles worldwide
And in Denmark it sold a total of 3,287 consoles since the Ps2 launched 12 years ago...LOL....
So was I really far off with my 13 consoles bought guestimate?
Its not a fact yet that Ps3 has outsold the 360 in the month of July. NPD numbers come out on Thursday....Thats when we will know the official numbers. I'm not saying it hasn't sold more for ONE month...But people stating it as fact because VG charts says so is jumping the gun a bit.
Thursday we will know the console sales for July. But you are right...August through December the 360 will once again outsell the ps3. So in the end Sony May have stole one month of sales this...
Denmark is ranked 826 on the list of countries that sell consoles....lol....
Antartica is ranked one before it at 825. WOW...
On a side note the total sales of Wii's sold is 4 units and the xbox 360 has sold 1 unit.
