Given MS's history on this type of stuff....Don't be surprised if they have a patch in one of the fall or spring updates that allows the HD dvd add on to be used for games. They will say that its not needed for games...but if developers choose...they can release their game on both HD dvd and dvd on the same disc....
Watch and see. I believe its very likely.

The last format war SONY lost is now replaying itself in 2007. WOW. If Warner switches and goes exclusive to HD dvd....The war will be over folks. Blu ray will fade away slowly and painfully for sony supporters. But the good news is...if blu ray fails....the price of the ps3 will drop considerably....So all the sony fans waiting on the sidelines will be able to jump in at a much lower price....that is if they haven't already switched to the xbox 360. Blu dragon could have been released on HD dvd for the 360 and at the same time packaged to work in the standard 360 drive with the HD dvd combo disc as disc one.
With me owning the HD dvd drive...that would have been a nice perk....not to have to change discs....
I expect this news to effect 360 games in the next year or so.
That would be too much for blu ray to overcome.
Sony, Disney, and Fox doesn't compare to HD dvd players under 200 this christmas coupled with Universal, Warner, paramount and Dreamworks.... Thats would be HUGE and a death blow to Blu ray no doubt. MS and Toshiba should do everything they can to secure that deal. Then you couple that with the fact that 51 gig hd dvd's are now in production....Wow...the one arguement blu ray had is now in the past....there are hd dvd's in prod...

I agree with you. My son, which is 10 yrs old, loves it to death. I tried it the other day and I enjoy it too. It is the best JRPG in the past 2 years and I believe that ps3 fans would love it as well. I'm happy I bought it. I beat Bio Shock and I'm almost done with Stranglehold....Obviously Blue Dragon sessions will have to be in between extensive Halo 3 sessions...OMG I can't wait. I have been playing the demo on xbox live and the graphics are fantastic...I actually think its prettier than Bio Shock...Speaking of Bio SHock....I just beat it last night. Great Game....One of the best I've ever played....
But now its back to normal....the xbox 360 is once again outselling the Ps3 by 100,000 units....Thats huge folks.....WOW... All this without Halo 3. Thats amazing to me. Going on two years, no Halo 3, but the 360 is selling on average over 100,000 more consoles than the ps3 per month. What is going to happen when Halo 3 hits store shelves and all the reviews roll in? OMG its going to be insane....I expect the already massive lead to grow.

Another mediocre game...We need AAA 9 plus rated on average games for our Ps3's. It wasn't Lair...It wasn't Resistence, it wasn't Motorstorm, it wasn't F1 racing, maybe Ratchet and clank? I doubt it...But I guess we will have to wait and see.
What is interesting is the xbox 360 sold more consoles during Holiday Season 2006 than the Wii and the Ps3 buddy. This is during their respective launches....November/December of 2006 the xbox 360 ruled the sales charts...Games and Consoles sold.
So while the Wii has been selling every months since....more than the ps3 and the 360....It doesn't mean that this holidays will be ruled by Nintendo...though its the safest bet in regards to console sales....But far from guarenteed.

Ign says its Passable. And I understand and respect their reasons. Its clearly better than Lair which I also own. But, the framerate does hold it back from being in the 8's and 9's and understandably. But the game is so fun and deep that if you look past the frame rate, which is really easy to do, the game is Great. Its a cross of diablo and oblivion....They just should have spent more time on perfecting the framerate....Hopefully they will have a patch coming or somthing....
Its actually more exciting than a new console launch. We all get to finish the fight and fight on for years to come ONLINE capture the flag and Team SLayer....WOW....Since this is the last Halo in the trilogy....I'm sure Bungie will pump out Map pack after map pack till the new Xbox console launches....and I wouldn't be surprised if they are starting to work on a secret Halo project for the launch of the next xbox.....
