i cant see the myspace connection but they i dont use myspace that much. my hope for home is that i can meet people in a virtual space and then go play agains them. also it would be cool to just chill out in a game type world with out the need to compete again someone or grind exp. it should make meeting friends to play easy as you can just set a time and meet up in the bowling alley or something.
i'm sure there will be some people that buy a ps3 based on home. it wont sell shed loads but will help to increase overall sales. this is the advantage that sony has over ms, there variety of software such as buzz, singstar, eyetoy will not by themselve sell lots of units but will each increase the total sales over the long term.
the uk does care about bc(i'm from england), i would guess the 60gb sku is the one selling the most. If all you want is ps3 games then the 40gb is great value. its not a great increase and i hope is not just a spike, but this is only a price drop. games shift units in the long term price drops are short term. dam out of bubbles :'(

do a lot of 360 titles suffer from lag. my ps3 gaming has so far been lag free, even when playing people on the other side of the planet.

i believe ps3 is in competition with the wii, buzz and singstar appeal to the same people that want the wii. but the price is probly to high still to make any real head way in the wii casual gamer market. I also believe that wii owners looking for somthing new would favour the ps3 over the xbox360. this is just my opinion. dont flame.
maybe they want to attract customers who never had a ps2 to or ps1, to them bc would not matter so they would find the cheaper model more atractive, but an old school sony fan would probly opt for the more exspensive model. This makes me thing sony are going to make a big loss on the cheaper model just to get more units out there probably to please the publisher/developers that have been showing concern over the low user base.
how do you transfer you ps1 games to psp, do you mean dounloaded games or can you transfer orignal ps1 disc games to psp. i dint know that was possible.
is this just play.com responding to internet rumours being as there is no price listed. no backwards compatability seams weird if they can do it in software then its basically free for them to add it. I could imagine them taking out blue movie playback but keeping the blue ray drive. no mem card reader, no wifi would be my guess, bundled with heavenly sword.

PS3 still has not had a holiday season with a console in all the three terrorories plus its biggest titles have yet to be released.
3DO was a major flop.
