“White men making a game about Japanese history is cultural appropriation at it’s finest. Can white people just die already?”

I'm sure this isn't an outrage Korean. It's most likely some dickhead white liberal from San Francisco who just really likes shitty music and being alone. Digging up anonymous tweets with avatars of Kpop hardly constitutes as a fan or real person.

Phil is cool and all (despite always looking like a bro with the face of a guy who is taking a dump in a porter john on a hot day), Japanese gamers do not like Xbox, and Xbox doesn't keep supporting the Japanese market. They couldn't even get out Scalebound and have not once given a shit about their good JRPGs like Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, and Infinite Undiscovery. They just quit seeming to care. Why would Japanese gamer begin?

Yeah, I mean... like seriously WTF; how was it supposed to be received?

I want a Paper Craft Zelda RPG so bad.

I didn't like the breakable weapons at all. I think the focus on using them was a chore. There should have been a regular sword and just let other weapons be used to solve puzzles, or defeat an enemy (AKA needing take Moblin boss's sword and kill him with it) after you knock them down. I also didn't like the Master Sword getting in a few hits before it needed a recharge. To each his own, but after 130 hours of playing BOTW, it's really a "carrot on the stick" game th...

Look at every negative criticism and tell me what are the top 3 complaints:
1. American studio making a game about Japan (Cultural Appropriation)
2. Historically Inaccurate
3. Compares to AC or BOTW or some other game as a critique.

ACG has some good feedback like the how the sound being muffled in Akira mode hinders the reaction of arrows or the B&W makes finding a colored flower harder. These are actual critiques. Complaining that the game ...

It's cool that Ghost of Tsushima is driving people to dive into Japanese history and watch Akira Kurawasa films but using this as a critical jumping-off point to talk about appropriation and the authority of devs to create games is getting old fast. I really don't remember past Assasin's Creed games getting the "is this historically accurate" criticism. But in 2020, I have seen several posts talking about how Ubi is misrepresenting the nations of that time and who the Vi...

Morgan,

I don't know why olafu is attacking you but you are absolutely right. Several outlets' biggest critiques were that this studio was made by an American team. Nonsensical and hateful; especially when Famitsu gave it a 40/40. If Japan loves it, then why not us? It's as if the ones who flip out over "cultural appropriation" the most are liberals here in the US.

Janet Garcia from IGN is an example of this type of scumbag journo. S...

Another one drops in... According to the liberal media sites, this game is created by evil white American's who culturally appropriated the game with alternate history and racism. I gotta say, this is not a bad article but it doesn't help with this game has gotten a handful of 6s for not being 100% historic or because the devs are not from Japan.

Felix,

Yeah, I have no clue who even says that. Gaminbolt? But probably only after Sony releases some single-player games. Some of these journos have a narrative to keep alive.

Oh, but alas. TheGamer AKA the Fredo of games media.

How is Octopath Traveler anything like Paper Mario?

You have clearly never played Astrobot Rescue Mission because that game is awesome and the bots are funny. Knack is a beat 'em up. Ratchet is an Action game. Astro is a really cool platformer. That is all I was saying.

This looks awesome. Go Geoff! I cannot wait for this. I hope they add more content for this. Astro is Sony's Mario.

I'm tired of the BOTW comparisons. The game is not good. Stop with the damn worship. This ass kissing love for one of the most mundane and lazy Zelda games is getting old.

You have the power to just fail this garbage review. It's racist and extremely degrading anyway. I don't care about his opinions but there are minimal criticism for the game. This ass just trashes Americans and assumes that all the developers were "white" as if SP didn't consult with Japanese historians in creating this game.

There is a single group of virtue signaling tools screaming about cultural appropriation and how they are so offended, but they aren't Japanese gamers in this scenario.
