For those who haven’t played this QD title, it’s really good. It uses camera effects in a really brilliant way. It’s still a choose your own adventure like their other games but it has such a great start. I also think cgi David Cage walking you through the tutorial is a laugh.
Also, Sony sent out a second batch of direct preorders.... unnecessary panic out the gate.
You play as a rogue Hollownest creature?🤫
I don't know how Gamepass is sustainable. The value per person is only worth 2 full game purchases a year: $120-150 max for all those games on there, it just doesn't add up math-wise. I buy about a dozen or more games a year between AAA and smaller titles some at full price others at a discount. I am still wondering how Gamepass could ever make back the money they just dumped on Bethesda alone, let alone all those other third party devs.
Can you give me an example of a fully third-party studio that has been purchased by Sony?
It spits in the face of gamers more than anything.
Looks fun. The HUD is way too cluttered however.
What is better: poor roll out over several days where confusion breaks up the chaos (PS5) or make sure millions are ready to crash servers in seconds by unifying the online store chaos (Xbox)?
The best answer would be open up preorders months ago but there are too many variables this year to keep it simple.
What’s worse is all the bots and asshole scalpers who got a system.
XSS still up for grabs.... ruthLESS
This ^^^
Sony has almost only purchased second party studios or teams. MS just went right out and bought a half dozen companies who have series that are now not going to be on the highest selling gaming systems/company in the world? It's an asshole move, to be honest. Sony buys Insomniac who has develioped exclusive content for them for years (Ratchet, Spiderman, Resistance, etc). The one non-PS4 game, Sunset Overdrive was poorly handled by MS and failed on Xbox). MS tu...
Yes; like how the PSVR box looked like a mini Pro model.
This is a huge buy but I am not a fan of it unless MS is just cashing back on publishing and not eliminating the games on PS5. Xbox One was a mediocre contender at best and that’s a lot of big franchises that are riding on the hopes the Series systems will excel.
I bet that Starfield and Elder Scrolls VI will still. MS can more as a publisher but this is a massive company that just signed a deal with a failing console maker. That’s some trust the XSS/X will take off.
Switch releasing Ori 2 proves the Xbox Series S is a complete waste of money. It’s not a next generation console. It’s a Pro model at best. So odd they went this route. PS5 digital or fatty is still fully next gen. You can argue the release of new games as cross generation compatible is valid but let’s be real.... we are in need of a push for a new generation of systems.
Looks like it but what about the possibility for the camera attachment or PSVR functionality?
I got the fatty edition just because I have a large film collection. I don’t buy physical games.
@above
Payed $53 in taxes.
I dunno my trophy level; I have 27 plats. Nothing crazy. But I use the console often so maybe active play hours?
I got the invite. I clicked the link today at the right time and it took 10 mins to open the direct store. I picked up a PS5 Thicc and an extra controller. Logged into my account and even paid $0 shipping because I am a PS+ member. Absolutely a phenomenal preorder service despite the confusion elsewhere.
PS5 has sold out their entire pre-order inventory... but okay
What is up with Push Square recently? All negative coverage of PS5 and really nasty about it too. Polygon buy up some of their shares...?
