Although do remember, in COD the amount of XP you need for the next rank increases each time. So you might get to level 30 quickly but eventually it does start taking a while to plough through the last ranks.
Also, the way you unlock stuff in the game is odd. There is about 50 ranks+ and only 30 or so things to unlock, meaning you go ages without being rewarded other than a new badge lol =D
I always thought the term "Back Log" applied to games that you want, but didn't buy due to time constraints and other games fighting for your money. I still consider the Assassins Creed series in my back log, even though I didn't but them yet.
Not to mention, people like to pre order games and pay for them in advance so end up with back log that way, I assume.
Yeah, I love buying games and not finishing everything they have to offer.
Mine was going well at one point, but then Skyrim came out and the rest, as they say, is history.
I still have, about two trophies in Portal 2 to get to get the platinum (Though I imagine the Co-op is deserted at this point so that may be an issue) and I think I got just over half of DiRT3 done so far, so there is that too.
Still got a few bits to polish in GT5, but tbh with SSX and Twisted Metal just this month, its not happening any time soon lol
...
Not always, if one is higher ranked but has less game time, then there is a chance that they are consistently good at the game.
Edit - or hacked it of course, but its usually obvious. The hackers are either level 9 or 10, its the better players who usually finish up on 4/5 or so.
How many is that now? 80?
Because when you unlock everything in the game, it is totally worth loosing it all and unlocking it all over again just for a few pixels.
I suppose, to be fair that is not too much different from starting a new story mode save game to play through a game again. but to me it always looks like people prestiege on COD just for the sake of it, not because they actually want to.
These days, they generally seem to be ignored any way.
I do understand it though, its not as easy as shooting a film and saying "It will be done by this time." Because with games, just because something is done, doesn't mean it is actually going to work and be bug / glitch free.
It looks bad for the company if they continuously miss dates etc, but as a gamer I personally don't really mind and can totally see why it happens.
Next week, next year... It is going to sell unreal amounts.
But I will say, it looked like it was coming along quite nicely, the first time we saw it in that announcement trailer and it looked like it had come pretty far.
I mean considering they dont have to make an entire new engine this time around, and how much was shown in the initial trailer , I expect it to be with us in 2012.
Well yeah but I didnt mention it, Vodafone are offering a contract for the 3G mobile internet, so it doesnt apply to the wi-Fi model, therefore it is irrelevant - I mean, you did read the article before commenting, right?
I think the PSVita is fairly priced, for what it is. But 3G, when not on contract is what will make it expensive. Especially with being able to have online games of whatever high end game, over it. As for it being pre paid - I dont know.... I dont want a vit...
Anywayz - not buying one. At least not on contract. I already have my IPhone on contract with them and dont want to be forced to pay them even more every month.
Edit - I will say though, if you are going to be using mobile internet a lot, contract is the way to go. Pay As You Go is apparently very expensive, especially on iPhones where it eats your credit.
What does that have to do with Vodafone allowing people to pay for Vita on monthly contracts? lol
If it means anything, mine is a slim... 180 or maybe 120 GB? And did the same thing, albeit only once out of the countless times I played the demo
I dont think even the PS3 had much of a say in Blu ray beating HD-DVD, I mean I am not saying it had nothing to do with it, but other companis making blu ray players, and blu ray in laptops etc probably had more of a say in standardising blu ray as the default HD medium.
Same lol, they just updated the USA blog with a short Q&A With Jaffe and details about what the demo will entail, but alas it just says "Later this afternoon"
http://blog.us.playstation....
SRSLY? There is a demo next week?! My day has just been made.
Lol
I did go on to say that I didn't think there was quite enough there at the moment, though.
And this also applies to the people who commented below.
I mean sure, I will end up getting one but just not at launch, I am waiting until more of the Sony franchises debut on it, does that make sense?
I was going to pre order one yesterday, but decided not to after I played one in the store (GameStation UK, if anyone has one local and wants to see if they also have a demo Vita to try it)
If you have an IPhone 4S, the only thing really worth paying the price of the Vita for is high quality gaming. And there is just not enough there at the moment, not to mention some IPhone games are available for an unbeatable price of free.
Batman had an online pass of sorts, and some are claiming it the best of 2011, along with Uncharted.
Has nothing to do with online pass, and everything to do with the fact that... People were just not interested in the series.
I dunno. It looks like a lot of fun but if what I reading the article is true, I cant see myself buying it -
Not that I don't like multiplayer but I don't want to be practically forced to play it online ( screaming kids, racists, music played purposely down mics etc)
"David Jaffe has advised gamers to rent before buying as the focus is strictly multiplayer. If we recall correctly, the originals had sufficient AI to cater to lone players, so this focus on online pl...
"Sony has failed to produce huge chart-topping games like Gears of War and Halo. Outside of Gran Turismo, Sony’s IPs have yet to hit the big time, partially due to poor marketing –"
None of that is true, plenty of PS3 games have either topped or at least gone high in the charts.
Poor marketing? Dude, I see people with Sackboy keyrings and stuff all the time. And I dont know what TV channels you guys watch, but here in the UK they advertise plenty -
