Well it is made by the guys that developed COD multiplayer, so the similarities aren't too surprising to me, but the poor AI is. Maybe (hopefully) it will be dynamic and evolve over time.
Despite my disappointment, I do think this will end up being a pretty fun game. I may check out the 360 version after a price drop if it's a halfway decent port.
Edit: Oh and NeoGAF is saying that the textures are 25% the resolution of the final build, so at least...
I mostly agree....however its important to keep in mind that this is alpha. I wouldn't expect the graphics to dramatically improve for the final build, but word is the alpha download is really small and is prolly missing some textures. Offscreen also makes things look much worse

I agree. There are also quite a few other issues that Respawn hasn't cleared up.
On another note, does anybody have a good plan to get impressions? I'm sure people will be posting them on various sites, but I'm afraid they be quickly taken down/deleted. Any way around this?

Thats true, but in many cases they make the only sports games available. I love hockey games and only have one choice. The same thing applies to football games.
I agree with most of what you say, but I believe people are hyped for this game because Remedy has a good track record.
It's also worth noting that the TV stuff is skipable, which is good for those of us that are skeptical

I don't think this will have many QTE's. I think its just a third person shooter with Tv shows functioning as very long cut scenes

I would rather have a car that runs well then one full of worthless gadgets.
I would rather have a phone that has clear call quality then one that is able to tell if Im looking at it.

Looks bright and colorful.....but this is a pretty worthless video. It does look like an old build (as many above posters have pointed out) and is of the same level we've seen plenty of times before. The analysis isn't even in english. They could be talking about what they had for breakfast for all I know.
