I like it for two reasons.
Its pretty challenging. Nintendo has every reason to dumb down the game to appeal to a wider audience, but many of the collectibles (even full levels) can be really hard.
The controls are really grounded. Jumping and movement feels sluggish at first, but once you get the hang of it, the handicap leads to really tense moments.
Wait....did this guy really just give DKTF a 6.5/10? That seems crazy. I'm not even going to click the link just to read his gibberish reasoning.
I see what you are saying, but I disagree on a few minor points.
Forced Kinect is one of the reasons that I refuse to buy an xbone. However, I am open to changing my mind if they are able to come up with compelling uses for it. In game, not UI nonsense. I know this is a long shot, but I won't say that they absolutely need to unbundle it. They need to unbundle it OR put it to good use.
I also don't think that xbone games will ever achieve true par...
Yeah, this guy said a few things that leads me to believe that he didn't know what he was talking about.
I don't think that this game makes use of all of the xbones power. It may be fun, but certainly doesn't look impressive technically.
Halo sold a ton of x360s in 2001? really?
Except that this isn't really a TF sucks article. Did you watch the video?
This is a good point. But the issue (for me) is that I believe MS designed their system around targeted advertising. It was their first priority. Again, I know this sounds paranoid and you are certainly free to ignore or disagree with me, but its how I feel.
They forced the inclusion of the Kinect, which adds nothing to games and gimps the hardware to achieve this goal. Furthermore, they don't pass the savings on to us. We are left with a weaker, more expensive box, th...
This is exactly my concern. I have yet to see another reason for a mandated Kinect and an always online requirement. A camera to gather the information and an internet connection to update your ads. Yes, I know that they reversed the always online thing, but they have to figure that most people will be online anyway.
It's also important to keep in mind that you are also paying for xbox gold
This type of thing is exactly why I have yet to buy an xbone. I have always believed that the Kinect was included to gather information for MS to sell. I know it sounds paranoid, but I haven't seen anything to convince me otherwise.
I know it sounds crazy, but I have always thought that Kinect is in every box thanks to NuAds.....I haven't seen another compelling use for it yet.
I believe that MS wanted the Kinect on most of the time (even when watching TV) to gather data for ad revenue.
Exactly. 7/8/9 months is plenty of time to work out bugs....I'm actually pretty amazed that it already looks as good as it does
I don't think he's played it either, he's just seen 10 minutes of it.
Sounds like there are 2 vids dropping tomorrow....I don't expect either of them to be 5 minutes.
Sorta depends on how you define flop.
Are you saying that it won't sell well, or that it won't be very good?
They may not have started at the same time (no way to know that), but releasing later means that the order is able to learn from the tricks that SP developed. They are better able to optimize (even though its only a few months)
It's also worth noting that infamous is an open world game. The scale of it's city has an impact on the visuals.
The devs haven't settled on an aspect ratio. Some argue that the black lines on the top and bottom aren't true 1080p
See I think this is why they set it at 30. Better to have a stable 30 then something higher with massive drops when stuff gets hectic, especially in a game so focused on destruction
Dang....I would take either of those cars
The problem is that they wouldn't be able to keep the quality up if they released one every year. They would be throwing halo under the bus to make room to establish a new IP.
Low January numbers indicate that demand has dried up. (not completely, but it has slowed) PS4 has been supply constrained since launch and have still sold more. Sony has a chance to get a much larger install base in the coming months cause there is clearly still a demand for it.
By the way, I hear that they are supposed to release gameplay tomorrow
