I would say that this is somewhat unclear at the moment. Their explanation of how this works was pretty ambiguous. However, It has to take a lot of time and effort (and money) to create a unique live action scene. Maybe the majority of the episode will play out the same, with a few minutes being dependent on your choice.
I give props to remedy for trying something new, but this doesn't sound appealing to me.At least you can skip the live action stuff....Hope they prove me wrong
I don't think that divekick belongs on the list either, but I haven't played it and hate fighting games.....But I feel thats the point of these "games of the year" lists; to turn people on to games they wouldn't otherwise consider.
Im actually somewhat impressed by this list, I expected them to cater more to the casual.

I hear a ton of great things about the souls games, but I played one(free on ps+) for an hour or two, and just couldn't get into it. Felt clunky and needlessly difficult. Maybe I'll give it another try at some point.
yeah the animations look pretty bad. 2:40 when the enemy was running into him was pretty funny
sony had a pretty great 2013; This list doesn't include GT6 or hotline miami
I envision something along the lines of tomb raider for the ps4 (definitive edition). They will make sure to make as much money as possible on the ps3 version before announcing it for next gen
Im really not sure why so many people are disagreeing with you. Do they think you're bashing the ps4?
The fact is that the WiiU is a great second console. I had a Wii for a month or two before it was stolen, so when I get the U I'll immediately have HUGE library of great games to play. Sure it has no third party support, but my ps4 has those covered.

The thing that amazes me most about this list is how few of the games I have played. I'm not much of an RPG guy, haven't yet played tomb raider, played the first two batmans but not origins....maybe I should think about adding a few games to my backlog.
I would have included portal 2, GTAV, mario galaxy/3d world, assassins creed 2, and bioshock in my top 15
Actually, One of my big issues with microsoft is their exclusives. They have deep pockets, so they can afford to buy exclusivity for great games (titanfall). The problem is that this game would exist without their money, they just spend their money so that a percentage of gamers cant enjoy it.
Sony invests in great first party studios. They spend their money creating games that wouldnt otherwise exist.

I think that mediocre is in the 7-8 range. Reviews tend to be more like grades (0-6=F, 6=D, 7=C, 8=B, 9=A). Seriously, how many games have you seen get below a 6? very few.

Sold. I haven't played it but hear great things. This seems like a good way to experience it for the first time....Hopefully I can beat it before infamous comes out

It's not much different than games now, and MGS4 is a good example...I thought that the cutscenes ruined it. The game was a lot of fun and looked incredible (I think its still one of the best looking games of last gen), but the cutscences were too long at the time and made me never want to play the game again.
