Cloud computing has been common practice for most entry to mid-level animation studios (high-level studios typically that they have local render farms). I really can see this being super beneficial.
When I was contracted to do some rendering videos, a typical scene on my 16-core processor PC took a scene took 16 hours to render. Once we paid for online render farms (cloud computing essentially) similar scenes can take 5-30 minutes (pending on how many PCs we bought).
just proof that resolution isn't be-all-end-all, if it was they'd be on PC.
@insomnium2
No, it's $20 for the full game. If you want everything it's $40. So it's still 1/3 the cost. If you consider it a $40 game then compare it to a $60 game with $15-30+ extra for all the digital accessories as well.
$0 single rotating character
$5 per character
$20 all 8 characters
$40 above + all accessory packs, costumes, and the original Killer Instinct games
$60 "coll...
It's not even out yet, the people scoring the metacritic hasn't even fully played it or most likely haven't even played it at all.
It's basically a $20 game, can pay more for different levels. People treating it like a $60 game, I guess that also means it's quality enough to be a $60 game. Lots of gaming vets have played it and like what they've seen already. I'll sure be paying the full $40 price tag (comes with everything minus collector's extras)
"DR 3 is a 78 on metacritic KZ was 74. Not sure how that is so much better"
Amazing, considering the game's not even out yet!
"Ps4 launch titles will not be on that list due to the fact they can't be preordered...they are just sold"
you can change the dates to get previous week's sales numbers
@TheFallenAngel Re-read his statement. He compared 2 different weeks, only counting the release week of each system. Last week = PS4, this week = xbox. Numbers would be fair comparing the numbers to its own launch week window.
@Godmars290 and because Microsoft is doing it it's evil? News flash; EVERY other entertainment company has been doing this the past 20+ years from games, TV, movies, music, etc etc. Fanboyism only hating because it's the other team is very tiring to read on an hourly basis...
I said it before and I'll say it again. If pixel count is be-all-end-all deciding factor, then why aren't PS4 fanboys playing on PCs? Maybe because there are other important factors that makes gaming important and pixel counts isn't on top of that list.
Personally for me having a superior online (dedicated servers) experiences is way more important than pixel counting.
Things PS fanboys say when they run out of things to say against xBox:
Xbox will fail because it's sold out.
It's not, I think "it" he meant the Kinect hardware, though he started comparing it to Wii Sports game then made "it" sound like the Fighters game
I work for a company that mass manufactures products, it's not as black and white as people believe they think they know. I'm not in the operations side of the business so don't know everything. How may consoles are ordered, how many clients ordered, in what region, what is the capacity of their factories, what are the capacity of their warehouse, what is their capacity of their logistics, what percentage do the sell to what regions, how fast can they ship to their drop location...
Sony isn't a technology corp? All they sell is technology!
I did some 3d modeling/rendering contracts in the past; online server farms is where it's at for the past 5+ years. A 24 hour job locally can become 30 minutes with render farms (depends on how much server you want to use/pay). Pretty much all mid-range animation studios use it, larger ones can afford local render farms.

They usually have experiences players making these videos, so it makes it look easy-ish. But a good fighting game is easy to pick up, hard to master. They put easier to achieve combos there but as well as more technical stuff for harder hitting combos.
at least they have spam box notifications on your friend's activities

Option, it's a luxury. Don't like snap, don't use it.
