Why are you lumping FF8/13 together? Everyone knows FF8 is a great game, I've never heard someone say it sucked personally, or at least I can't recall ever hearing it atm.
And yes, FF13 was horrible. A giant diversity agenda invisible hallway that started a trend of REAL games starting to play more like mobile games that more or less played them self to cater to a wider audience while watering the experience.
Not to mention it's 3 full priced ...

Awesome that it has great gameplay mechanics, you can go all the way back to the NES to find those as well.
Super cool with graphics, looks about as good as any other modern title. As for story, cool. I've seen powerful stories for 30 years in gaming.
