PC gaming is vastly superior in almost every regard unless you fancy interactive movies.
Whether it comes to saving money, freedom of choice, every genre, backwards compatibility, modding, choice of controller/keyboard use... The list goes on for ages.
Consoles are great, but don't let the simplicity of an entry level device fool you into thinking it's better than something it's not.
My gosh.. Don't you read before you reply?
And like some miss out on great console exclusives a year on PC, you get close to missing out on entire genre's of games on console like Sim games, CRPGs, Strategy games, MMORPGs, the vast majority of the F2P market, and quality Indy games.. Not to mention the untouchable modding scene and many pc exclusive games as well like Star Citizen, Age of Empires, Total War and Civilization, ARMA to name a few.
Backwards compatibility is singularly positive. Awful opinion, sorry...
I've felt the same way for a long time, even though I started out a console gamer primarily. Once I moved to PC as my main, I could never look back. It has too much, inside and outside of gaming. Way to many options, way to many games, genre's and it's customization is so intense. Not having to deal with a 4 hour battery life controller is just.... Amazing.
But still, I've enjoyed my Switch and PS4 lots, and still do. It's nice to chill with Driveclub fo...
Upgradable/customizable ships that change how you play the game and add a sense of value/protection to the only thing you really own in the game.
Secret treasure stashes you can bury with your own treasure hordes that you can use at black markets to buy custom gear.
Hireable NPC crew for singleplayer gamers.
Dynamic events that everyone on the map can see and wants to join so it brings everyone together for a giant shit show of fun.
Nobody said nature was fair, and nobody said people can't eat meat, but turning ancient survival techniques into modern killing IRL for luls is something I'd only expect from children. Saying something is only a ***** that doesn't feel has been a thoughtless, blanket excuse that's probably caused every major tragedy in human history.
Doing something awful you don't need to do to survive anymore then justifying it by saying it's, "a popular pasti...

We are kindred spirits, I hope I never insult you unknowingly on this forum in the future to come. <3
Your comment 3 days ago about GOW:
Nothing short of a masterpiece, even if you don't like it or it's not a game that interests you, there's no way you can't deny what it brings to the industry. This is spitting in the face of all those who say the single player game is a dying breed of game.

Weird how when Nintendo does something great, you're always there to downplay it, but when Sony does...
Everyone wins when talented artists care and love. We only lose as gamers when certain people try to turn this art form into a glorified peddling scheme....
I'M LOOKING AT YOU EA!
Edit: Cough.... With love.
I think there's just a group of people that see that GOW is just another interactive movie and would prefer a product that's closer to the main interest definition of, "game.", rather than movie built into video-game format.
That's personally how I feel at least, I dislike invisible/trick walled off hallways and interactive movies like Uncharted 4. I'd much rather see them in a 3 hour movie I could easily enjoy a couple of times a year rather than ...
Traditional Zelda games: Explore, shoot bow, swing sword, puzzles, dungeons, save the princess, find the towns, buy from stores, help people with their own sidequest problems, discover secrets, defy gravity/game mechanics with special items, link, zelda, kingdoms, medieval, magic, ganon, creatures, master sword, deku tre-
You know what?.. I'll just stop before this becomes two pages.
Great Zelda game.
Well it's definitely up there, and heck, it may be.. But it does have some steep competition. Have you ever played Modded Skyrim, World of Warcraft Vanilla/BC/WOTLK, Diablo 2, WC3, FF7?
..It's definitely my favorite game since Bloodborne, which may still be my favorite game of all time so far.
Me too man, it made me a Zelda fan in 1 go. I kinda wish I got into the series more when I was a kid, but all I played was OOT and Windwaker. Although that isn't a bad thing as they're often debated as the best besides Twilight and BOTW.
Horizon Zero dawn is a feminist Zelda knockoff that played desperately against BOTW as Sony's, "Zelda experience".
Nothing about it should have been GOTY besides it's graphics.
The game play was amazing. Freedom, open, control, dozens of ways to approach every fight, fun. Something all modern games should strive to be.
I really don't know what people expected from the boss battles, I only played a few Zelda games in the past, but they all seemed pretty simple/easy to me.
It's like the moment DS/BB dropped, all games aren't allowed to be anything but 30+ wipe simulators now. Zelda, as far as I know, has never been abo...
Wonderfully deserved. One of the best games I've ever played in my life. Truly magical, and I'm not even that interested in Zelda.
Well.. Now I am. But not before.
I think some people would just rather see a good Tomb Raider game instead of having it be a glorified Japanese softcore-tease porno for teenagers like Nier:Automata was, that's all.
And I feel the same way, I don't need a developer to tickle my pee pee, I want a good game. If I want pron I'll hop in VR.
This game's success is a constant reminder to me that people are super ignorant. And that's helped me through the years. No expectations in people have really helped me let go of some anger.
Got my 10' x 12' play area set up and I'm just waiting for the wide FOV, higher resolution, wireless revolution baby!
God I love VR.. The closest thing that has ever come to the mind blowing moment I picked up my first Atari controller and realized that video games are actually a thing that can happen.
Come on Star Citizen VR and Elder Scrolls:Next VR!!!
Weird, I considered this generation to be my biggest let down of all time personally. Like yea, it's super cool to say your console is cool when your talking to kids on the bus, but if you look back through the last 4 generations of it's console.. It's just so weak in comparison.
Just take a look back at the PS1/2 and Super Nintendo/N64.... Obviously with cost and time to develop games, things are going to slow down in both amount of titles and length of game.. ...
