You guys are still being really pedantic about this and displaying a high level of ignorance of game development. NO GAME at this stage of development, with such a short period of dev time behind it, will display characteristics of a AAA-tier release, even from pre-alpha stages. This stage the game is in is like pre-pre-pre-alpha. This footage was just to give people who aren't in the know an idea of what the game is like.
If you could see a super-early version of Killzo...
Reminds me of that RE6 Leon jacket nonsense from a while back...
Yeah, do these people not know what "proof of concept" means? This game has only been in development for a few months, NO game ever has AAA-tier graphics that early in the development phase. People need to get a grip.
Sadly the guys who were behind that series doesn't even work at DICE anymore, so a BC3 is pretty unlikely. Maybe it's for the best, since EA/DICE would muck that game up as well.
Yeah, best to experience it for yourself before writing it off. It's like saying Silent Hill isn't creepy while you're playing it in the daylight with all the lights on in your room with the volume low (without headphones, lol.)
Romance is more important than anything else in this series, apparently. GG Bioware.
Ubisoft has been doing bullshots and fake trailers for over a decade now, as well as downgrading games from their original showings. Being cautious and expecting the game to not live up to these screens is completely rational. It's not pessimism, it's realism.
Don't see why you're all up-tight about it, some people LOVE music, and it can greatly enhance the experience depending on the game or what have you.
I always use the Earth visualizer when I throw on some tunes to help me go to sleep. The most relaxing thing ever, plus it just looks amazing.
@Master-H
Dude, CoD3 was great. It was pretty much a better version of CoD2, which itself was underwhelming. And you somehow forgot that CoD1: United Offensive was developed by Treyarch, and was considered by many to be much superior to both the original CoD1 AND CoD2.
WaW was the last decent CoD game, it's just been pure downhill ever since MW2.
Nice job putting words into my mouth. I never said making the assets was incredibly easy, but you yourself lied when you claimed they do the games in "a year". Not to mention it's been demonstrated by end-users over the internet how they re-use assets anyway. Stop trying to martyr these guys so hard, lol.
The engine itself is the same. Yes, it has been incrementally updated over time, but that doesn't make it an entirely new engine. They get more than enough...
You're giving them way too much credit. Ghosts was just an abysmal game all-around, there wasn't anything remotely impressive about it, besides the fish A.I.
Six different platforms, you're acting like they actually only developed the game in a year? Six different platforms isn't as crazy as you're making it out to be. Create all the game's assets once, then scale them down as necessary to fit on the target platforms, whether that's removing certa...
A reboot isn't needed, they need to resolve that cliffhanger from Logan's Shadow. It's almost been seven years, still no resolution...
Haha yeah man. I remember when I was a kid, and my godfather came over and introduced me to the power of the headshot. My life was changed, lol. Syphon Filter had some amazing boss battles. Remember having to shoot the fuel-pack on Girdeaux's back because he was decked out in full-body armor? Then having to be quick as hell because he had A GODDAMNED FLAMETHROWER? Good times, game is still awesome to this day.
I've played both on PS4. Even with its numerous hit-detection issues and rubber-banding, BF4 is a much better game than Ghosts is. BF4 doesn't have anywhere NEAR as much BS in it as Ghosts' multiplayer has. No contest.
PC version would be great. Kojima has hinted at it about a month or two ago, saying he'd love for it to be available on Steam, but we'll see what happens. It would be stupid for them to NOT release it on PC.
Lol yeah, talk about buzzwords. So many devs say this same thing every gen.
"Oh we've totally taxed [insert system here] to the fullest possible extent. There's not much more we can do."
*next game getting ready to come out*
"We're doing things we've never done before, only possible with optimization and the power of [insert system here.]"
And grown manchildren.
The amount of detail in this game is just ridiculous. And this is just the beginning, too. I don't even wanna think about what Uncharted 4 will look like...
Truth. The first two games themselves didn't push a lot of copies, hence Sega not really supporting it after Shenmue 2 flopped. It would be impossible for them to release a third game and expect it to push some impressive sales figures. Most gamers out there have no clue what Shenmue is, outside of hearing fans hype it up/serenade it when it gets brought up. The game could be amazing, but it'd be a financial failure, sadly.
I'd love to see it though, and I'm ...
