It's funny seeing people getting so hyped up over a generic campaign. Fact is most people buy these games for the multiplayer, and the statistics that Activision themselves showed for previous games proves that. It's just pathetic seeing these sites give these sensationalist headlines, as if this game's campaign will revolutionize FPS or something.
Sasuke is an absolutely garbage character in a terrible anime/manga series called "Naruto".
LJN, anyone??
This is such a disastrous game. It's been out for five months now and it's STILL broken. Seriously, nice job EA. Makes me hella cautious for Mirror's Edge and Battlefront...
"Nvidia GPU's wipe the floor with AMD's GPU's "
Lolwat? Where were you when the R9 295 x2 "wiped the floor" with the Titan Z, and for half the price? Granted, the price of the R9 295 x2 is ridiculous as well, but Nvidia certainly isn't "wiping the floor" with AMD by any means.
Iris Pro is only available in SKU's that cost much more than Kaveri's parts, and even then, the only reason Iris Pro performs as well as it does is due to the massive eDRAM on the die. It's not even worth comparing them, it's like comparing Intel HD 4000 to a GTX 760 or something.
Mfw people don't realize it's satire (even when it's clearly marked as such...)
Ken STILL IS the man. Love that guy.
Well, the first game came out on PS2, so...
I'm a HUGE fan of the first two games, but let's not even talk about Contract: J.A.C.K., LOL. I wonder if this would turn into anything. I'd LOVE to see another game, but I'd rather it be developed by the same crew who made the first two games if possible. Just finished a playthrough of NOLF 2 a couple months ago, insane amounts of fun.
I swear, the only news I hear about this game anymore is just romance-related crap. Is that all the game will be? Jesus.
This isn't Sledgehammer's first try, they worked on MW3, which was one of the worst games in the series.
Hardly anything is known about the game, besides a very generic plot so far (only good thing about it is Kevin Spacey being in it lol) and the fact that it looks like Black Ops 2.5. People are jumping the gun and getting hyped off a simple trailer (which is the entire purpose of a trailer -- a trailer can make ANYTHING look epic).
As for me, I...
Activision trademarked "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare" literally years ago. I recall the trademarks popping up around the time MW2 was coming out. They also trademarked "Space Warfare" as well, and "Future Warfare".
Yeah, the visuals actually look pretty good. However, I won't bust my nuts over them, when the real problems with the games have been the flawed gameplay mechanics and terrible netcode, amongst other things. I'll wait and see before I completely write the game off, but I guess we'll find out around Summer or so.
I've been a CoD fan since the first game on PC back in 2003, and I'd buy this if it's good, but if not, won't be any sweat off my back.
Honestly Carmack was most likely bored at id. He'd been very interested in VR for *ages*, it was something he'd been thinking about since the 90's at least. His work at id was pretty much done -- the id Tech 5 engine was finished and there wasn't much else going on at id besides DooM 4, which will probably release when Half-Life 3 and Beyond Good & Evil 2 do.
I wouldn't be surprised if he had no qualms about leaving id to focus completely on Oculus de...
Yeah, I agree lol. And they always have the sensationalist wording as well "This will blow you away" "Mind-blowing video showcase blah in x engine!" etc.
Wow... I don't see what CoD has to do with extreme sports, but I guess since it's the official game of dudebros everywhere (besides Madden), it makes sense. Don't even know if I'll be able to watch X-Games anymore if CoD will have a big presence there...
Kotaku -_-
But dat image though, lmao.
edit: Holy shit, this game sounds trippy as f***.
They ARE listening.
And they're doing the exact opposite of what everyone wants, because in spite of people saying they hate Capcom, they still give them money by buying all their games. Remember not long ago how Capcom was bragging that RE5 was their best-selling game ever or something?
Of course they're listening, and they're laughing all the way to the bank because they know regardless of how bad any of the games get, the "fans" will...
Mustache physics are much more revolutionary and innovative than cloud computing and Fish A.I.
