I never said anything about letting people make up my mind for me. And I'm not the type of cheapskate hypocrite who complains about how devs should be supported more, but then waits 8 months after the goddamned game comes out to pick it up for three cents on some Steam Sale.
I haven't watched tons of TB's vids but the few I did watch, he pretty much hit the nail on the head anyway. His vids are lengthy enough for him to properly explain his viewpoints and he does...
Just because I have enough money to buy a game doesn't mean I'm gonna blindly buy it without knowing whether or not it's worth it. Don't see anything wrong with a guy giving an in-depth overview of how a game plays and what sort of features it has.
I bet you're fun at parties.
I had some fun on there over the years since early '08, but haven't gotten on in ages. It was possible to meet some cool people on there, even though a lot of people were creeps, lol.
I wonder what the people still actively using it will do once it goes under...
Well, "World at War 2" did get trademarked not too long ago, so you never know...
A new Insomniac-developed Spyro would be dope. I still have some of the older PS1 titles, those are timeless classics.
I'd love for Resistance to come back as well. They should reboot it or something. The potential is so vast for an epic game. It's a shame that no one bought Resistance 3 despite it being a pretty damn good game, and the whole FUSE situation, too...
Love how you call him out for blind hate, then go on to baselessly say the game will be awesome.
I'm all about being real, but no one can sit there with a straight face and tell me they beat CoD2, World at War, or Black Ops 1 on Veteran in 2 hours or anywhere close to it. It's literally nonsense. Dying 50 times due to bullshit is a staple of Veteran mode on those games, regardless of "lol mad skillz bro".
Hardened and below, okay, I could see that.
Tfw everyone thinks 7/10 is a bad score...
(Disclaimer: Not defending Polygon in any shape or form here.)
SR2 is my all-time fav, but I know fun when I see it. I beat SR3 twice and SR4 was a masterpiece in it's own right. Yeah, on some levels they don't touch SR2, but just enjoy them for what they are. They're retarded, but that's the whole selling point, it's its own thing now.
@DragonKnight
This is late, but David did blast Stephen, Ben was the guy who recorded the audio from that clip. Ben was the one who posted that clip to begin with, lol. That's Stephen's voice you hear, not Ben's.
@Mr. Pumblechook
Stephen Totillo is a worthless trashbag. If you haven't already, go look up the clip where he was interviewing David Jaffe, and Jaffe just totally gets fed up with his BS and annihilates him (verbally, of course.)
Let the hype train rev it's engines up yet again.
So they increase the texture resolution, up the framerate, increase draw distance, make the traffic denser, etc., basically stuff that's totally EXPECTED from a gimped PC version, and they add a first-person view whilst walking (which will most likely be totally worthless in actual combat) and that's somehow revolutionary? Lol no.
Just a buncha candy-ass script-kiddies. It's an insult to call them "hackers", these kids have no talent whatsoever.
Literally nothing is known about the actual game and it's years away from release, yet people are already proclaiming it's the best just because Kojima is involved? Lol okay.
"It is more fun than many games of that era. "
Doesn't mean the game is actually good, either. It's still a terrible POS gameplay-wise.
It's funny and sad at the same time, really.
Not sure why everyone disagreed with you, as you're correct?? I don't recall there being a single open-world sandbox game on the Vita that isn't a bunch of levels tethered together via loading screens.
These "Look at X in Y engine!" articles are so stupid 99.9% of the time. I'm pretty sure hardly anyone cares what MGS characters or environments would look like in Unreal Engine 4. Fox Engine is already amazing so there's no need for stuff like this.
Besides, Unreal Engine mostly looks almost like a self-parody, there always seem to be so many exaggerated effects that make it look like a generic Call of Duty fragmovie or something, lol.
Seems ND haven't totally abandoned the idea of returning to Jak some day. I always preferred Ratchet & Clank over it personally, but Jak & Daxter was still a nice series. I remember back in '03, just endlessly raging over some of the insanely difficult sections in Jak 2. That game's difficulty was just pure bollocks, lol.
