I already knew it wasn't gonna be SF. Trust me, if you'd go over to sf-central.com and read the forums, me and other SF stalwarts gave up hope ages ago, haha.
I've spoken to both John Garvin and another Bend employee privately (over the net) over the years and found out some stuff about what happened with the series and the way it ended (Logan's Shadows' cliffhanger ending) and it really doesn't seem like there will be another game in the series again...
What a f***** creep. How did all the other officials/organizers tolerate that shit for so long? There's no way it was a secret.
I don't get the disagrees. Everything I posted was an unequivocal fact. I guess that just goes to show the types of people on this site, logic and reason aren't "cool" around here.
Lol but doesn't "Second Life" already exist?
Those aren't "games", though. People who do that stuff usually use professional-tier gpu's.
You just gotta feel goosepimples all over your body when the creator of a work that you've taken inspiration from approves your project.
Other devs could take note, like the d-bags at Konami who shut down that fan-remake of Metal Gear (the original one), made even more disappointing by the fact that they'd initially approved them working on it. It wasn't until they found out that David Hayter was helping with the script and recording voice-overs that they suddenl...
Well I can already tell you that Carrizo won't be as powerful as the PS4's SoC APU. PS4's graphics portion is essentially a slightly cut-down Pitcairn setup, having 18 out of the 20 CU's enabled (two disabled for yields). Carrizo meanwhile just tops out at 8 total. The PS4 also uses 8GB of GDDR5 while the Carrizo memory controller only supports DDR3/DDR4 (it's a dual mem controller similar to the older Phenom chips.)
Last but not least, Carrizo tops out a...
2.5/5? Blasphemy. Had too much fun with SR2, 3, and IV to not blindly insta-buy this game. Even if it does turn out to be meh, it's still only $20.
Good luck with that seeing as how this isn't on the PS2, lol. But your lame sarcasm aside, they should've thrown in the original Gamecube version as well for the sake of complacency.
My point was about PC/console game comparisons in general. If you're gonna do a supposed in-depth comparison, may as well include every type of quality sample as well.
PC version has higher resolution shadow maps and slightly higher-res textures, and that's about it. The game still predominately uses pre-rendered backgrounds for everything that isn't interactive or a character model, so a graphics comparison is pretty silly.
I also don't understand why sites that do these graphics comparisons very seldom compare all the quality presets in the PC version (e.g. Low, Medium, High, Very High, Ultra) but just do Maxed PC vs. fixed-s...
A game typically only "requires" Steam if it uses Steamworks integration, which a lot of mainstream games do.
The original Xbox was pretty much the spiritual successor to the Dreamcast... But yeah, not the same :(.
MGS4 man... Really need to play it again. As silly and convoluted and outright ridiculous as Metal Gear's plots usually are, you just gotta love the characters and dialogue.
No idea why you got 4 disagrees. He was mad over with the crowds and it was all because of him building himself up. Vince got butthurt that he had nothing to do with it, which is why they paired him up with John Cena so Cena could leech off his popularity and make Zack look stupid in the process, and then they outright buried the shit out of Zack.
PS4 version looks to be about the same as PC on Ultra. Not that it's saying much since you could play SR4 on Ultra on even cheap GPU's, but the game looks great either way.
I remember pissing into an empty powerade bottle when I tried to get the "Bladder of Steel" achievement on Rock Band 2 back in late '08 (that's doing the Endless Setlist II nonstop in one sitting, which is basically 6 hours and 30 minutes of music), but I've never crapped into a bag before. I've literally never even heard of anyone dumping into a bag whilst gaming. Your name does suit you, and that's coming from another weirdo lol.
WaW on Veteran... Never forget. When I beat that on Vet, I abstained from that campaign for the rest of my life.
Definitely gonna pick this up.
A new Rock Band would be cool, but I have my doubts if it would be financially viable to make one. The large boon back in the day of rhythm games (2006~2009) was pretty much a fad, one that won't be repeated again any time soon. Now the only people who play rhythm games were the ones who were already playing them before it was a fad or some of the people who legit got into them during the fad period. So rhythm games are a pretty small niche and it'd be really hard for them to successf...
I lost one of my bubbles and then mentioned it in the comments, to which one of the mods decided to be a snarky little twit about it. His response? He stalks through comments I'd made weeks ago, singles out a random innocuous comment, then takes ANOTHER bubble away just to exert his "authority". Of course the coward didn't reveal his username.
I'm not salty about it anymore since this site is mostly a joke, but some of the mods are cool. Others are just...
